Manziel against ranked teams had 5 td passes and 4 interceptions; versus SEC teams 11 td passes and 6 interceptions.  Non-Conference opponents that Manziel feasted upon: SMU, La Tech, South Carolina State and Sam Houston State.  This is as laughable a non conference schedule as Oregon or Florida play.

Haha yeah wolf but I blamed Cam's father for most of that whole ordeal. Plus that season he had and what he meant to that Auburn team was off the charts. He pretty much won the national title by himself and everyone knows it.

that LA tech team was ranked at the time and was one of funnest games i ever saw. i think it ended up 58-56 and it was not manziel fault the defense gave up that many. as for the florida game it was his very first game as a player. kevin sumlin did not even know manziel would even start the first game till 2 days before the season started. plus i would be curious the last time bama lost at home by anybody. probably florida during  when tebow played. another heisman winner.

@p4p. like cams dad never even had "one" conversation with his son about what was happening. + _ +

59-57 was the final, but that is not the point. La Tech has no defense, Manziel accumulated a majority of his stats against those 4 teams.  And against Alabama he played a great 1st quarter, but was nothing the rest of the game.  Manziel is ok, but he is not the Heisman winner this year in college football.

Wolf, actually I am glad that you reminded me that was a ranked team because that means against ranked SEC teams he had 2 TD passes and 3 Picks, lol, which further illuminates my point that he feasted against Colander defenses and did nothing against serious defenses.

why does lopati dislike Manziel soo much? is it b/c you lived in  oklahoma and texas A&M is outright thrashing the top 8 okie team in the cotton bowl? i actually want okie to score so Manziel has the chance to go over 200 yards rushing in a bowl game. i think vince young and pat white are the only two other QB's to do that.

Wolf I hate both these teams, lol. Honestly There are few teams I dislike more than OU.  I just am not on the ESPN hype train for Manziel.  He stacked his stats against the cans on his schedule and didnt do anything to impress me outside of the 1st quarter against Alabama.

i have UCLA and Texas A&M as the two most disappointing teams in college football history. i do believe with kevin Sumlin as coach and manziel at QB if they could get a good RB and another WR for next year they could win the last BCS NCG before the playoffs start. then he has two  more seasons once the playoffs begin. the future looks bright for A&M for the nerxt three years.

You are right A&M needs some more weapons if they are gonna win it all.  Manziel better hope Clowney never lays the sights on his ass next season when they play.

Wolf, I am gonna be curious to see how Sumlin can recruit in the SEC he is doing all this with someone else's players right now and if the line does bounce to the league they wont win 10 games next year.

recruits are attracted to winning programs and teams that have a chance to get to the promised land. this blowout of okie helps alot and if i were a WR i would want to play with Manziel. he has 3 TD passes to WR's and 2 rushing  TD's and i think he just went over 200 yards rushing. A&M has always been second to Texas but i think  A&M's immediate future looks better. i just see the stats now, 198 yards rushing  so close. the defense has gotten better as the season has gone on too.

Gonna take more than a cotton bowl win to turn A&M into a winning program, lol.  It will be interesting to see how Applewhite being back at UT will help them out.  He did good at Bama and is one of most beloved Longhorns ever.  But as of today I agree that A&M looks better moving forward.

Johnny Manziel broke Cam Newton's record for total yards and played in two less games. Again I don't think a Freshman should have won the heisman, but get for ******' real.

actually the final stats came out 228 rushing and 298 passing for manziel. only marquis tuiasasopo (close enough )rushed for over 200 yards and 300 passing in a game.  i just heard 8 home games and only 4 away games next year for A&M. it sets up nice for them. still only 15-19-1 in bowl games and ucla is 14-17-1 in bowl game history. thats why there my most disappointing teams but i will ride with manziel as long as he does not get hurt.
