Now this makes sense to me. I thought the whole point of an interim belt was to keep the division moving while the real champ is out. If a guy is going to win an interim belt and then not defend it what's the point?

I agree and that's what I'm saying. Why would the UFC give a guy an interim belt and then not ask him to defend it. That totally defeats the purpose of an interim champion.

Don't like McDonald, but he can beat Barao. Definitely wouldn't be the favorite, but it's a possibility.

I was hoping they would make this fight. I think mcdonald deserves the shot. And at least barao isnt trying to duck defending his title like someone we know who got an ass beating last night.

Wonder if the fight will actually happen, Barao already said a couple months back that he was gonna wait for Cruz. Which is ********, he should HAVE to fight. Barao will probably try to wait, McDonald is by far the most dangerous guy at Bantamweight not named Dominick Cruz, it would be quite risky.
