Prediction: wrong Lauzon   wrong Submission   wrong Round 3

Walking FOTN bonus Lauzon will pull off a flash submission on Miller. Miller hasn't fair well against the elite of the division, and Lauzon is slowly becoming an elite fighter.

2 of my absolute favorites going against each other. I think Lauzon is more explosive, but Miller will grind out the win and begin his long journey back to title contention.

J-Lau has superior KO power and better submissions but even with more ways to win, I expect Miller's wrestling and top-game to lead him to a narrow victory.

Based on past performances, Miller seems to be on the decline. I still thinks he has the wrestling and grappling advantage. Looking forward to a fast paced fight and I understand why it's a co-main event on this card. I think Miller does enough to win decision in this one.

I don't think saying Miller has been on a decline is very accurate at all. He has 4 losses, 3 of those are from champion (MAYNARD GOT SCREWED), and 1 of those is from #1 contenders. Losing to Diaz, Benson, Maynard, and Edgar doesn't mean you're on a decline, it means he needs to train a bit harder when he gets up there again. All the mid tier guys he has faced he had them beat, decisively. Lauzon is a mid tier guy.

Miller and Lauzon are about the same. Mid-tier is about right. I even think Miller is a better fighter than Diaz, and would probably win a rematch. These guys are world class mmartists, probably just shy of being top 5 in the world at their weight.

Diaz's striking is so far ahead of Miller's which is why he won. Diaz floored Miller with some strikes before submitting him. If they rematched, probably wouldn't lose by submission, but Diaz's striking will be too much for Miller.

This fight promises to be a real barn-burner.  It has FON written all over it.  Have you seen Joe's wikipedia page?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Lauzon

In all his 29 fights, only 1 went to a decision!!!!  Folks, that is almost impossible!  All of Joe's 22 wins were finishes!
Even his losses were by finishes.

So, much as I hate to do it, I must pick Joe to win this fight.  As much as I love Jim Miller being a true wrestling grinder, I think little Joe will win by 2nd round TKO.  Punches and knees.  And I feel bad having to pick against Jim!

Lauzon goes nuts when ever he has a guy hurt or sees an opening.I'm picking Lauzon because of the killer instinct.I'm also a huge Lauzon fan so that means I would probably pick him against Superman.

One of my favorite finishes showing that killer instinct:

I've already changed my pick twice, Miller, Lauzon, Miller...and I may very well change it back to Lauzon.

I think Miller is quite a bit more technical with his Jiujitsu than Lauzon. Lauzon is an exploiter - if he gets you hurt or you leave something out he will tap you. But his fundamentals are relatively weak. In the past, even his coaches have been critical of his BJJ (which would explain why he is still a purple belt).

Miller has a good chin and is very technically sound so I don't see JLau hanging with him for very long.

Going J-Lau since he seems to amaze when he's the underdog.
