Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

Anyone think it would be a bad move to put Silva up against Rory at this point to see which one of the youngins is primed for a title shot within the next 12 months?

bad move 'cause rory's gonna move to MW anyways. Rory would destroy Erick Silva.

I don't get why people call him the WW division's Anderson Silva, I just don't see it at this point.

well he'd win. I don't see Erick Silva at that level at this point to be honest.

I definitely think you may be under-rating Silva.. but I really have no idea who I would pick in that fight right now.

Rory vs Erik Silva

Brenneman is no wrestling slouch and Erik Silva managed to stay upright and win the fight in dominate fashion.  Silva vs. Rory is one of those prospect killing fights many fans don't want to see because it eliminates one future title contender.

As for McDonald moving to middleweight I've yet to hear that.  Many things are still up in the air w/ regard to 170.  If GSP returns and beats Condit or whoever the interim title-holder is he may very well want a fight with Anderson.  Anderson has said he is open to a superfight but isn't interested in fighting Jon Jones' lanky frame.  So if GSP leaves the division Rory could potentially stay.  Personally I would love to see Erik Silva vs Rory McDonald because I don't think Rory is as great as everyone thinks he is.

Rory's gonna move up to MW because he's ******* massive, that's what I'm saying. He's the biggest and the strongest welterweight on the roster and he still has 3 more years of growth.

Awesomeness is no wrestling slouch you're right, but he's not very good at mixing up striking with his dominant wrestling and it's the only effective facet of his game. Rory is much more well-rounded, and he's more powerful than The Awesome One too. Did you see him burst out of Che Mills' closed guard in their fight? Holy ****.

I agree with you @dneighbor... except I do think Rory is great.. I just think everyone under-estimates Erick.  It would be a prospect killer... but I wouldn't mind so much b/c I do agree w/ @anik that I think Rory does end up a MW by the end of 2013.

According to mmajunkie, Joey Beltran is fighting Te Huna. This news made my day.

Poor Beltran. He is about to experience Beltran/Johnson II. I thought Beltran was released from the UFC though. I have a feeling this fight might experience an "injury" before it happens.

@AnikMibles... I am trying so damn hard to have tolerance for some of your stuff... your passion.. your go get 'em attitude and as @Pierce once said... your 0-100 mind frame is awesome.  But.... BUT.... you have to learn man... learn where the damn line is... and stop crossing it!  That being said... leave @Messiah alone.. I'm sure he feels bad enough... leave the whole thing be... and the .. oh hell.. its just a matter of time..lol.
