Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

@Beast: I posted the other day about Drive, surprisingly good flick; I recall being disinterested when it was out in theaters. I enjoyed the opening song a lot.

@Kalibo, If I recall correctly, he told me he was gonna be driving through San Jose for a day. It just so happened that this day was the day of UFC 141 so we met up at a chicken wing/bar kind of place t owatch the fight.

My Life Story and Life Long Dream Update (Original on page 203)

Wow so it has been like 8 months since I last posted about my life situation and all on page 203 and I remembered this and wanted to give you guys an update. I went to John Hopkins about three weeks ago and was diagnosed with something called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which I don't really know a whole lot about it. The good news is that the version I have is the least life threatening, but the bad news is that it is the most painful of the kinds. I am very relieved to finally have gotten a diagnosis after looking searching for over four years and it has been a long ride considering I was only 15 when all these problems started. Anyway yeah just wanted to update the people like Gregory and Kailbo and others  who had commented about on my post and were so kind and encouraging. I have to do a few more tests to make sure I don't have any of the life threatening parts but they don't believe I do. Now I just have to keep trying to get better somehow. Thanks guys.

@reeves my thoughts are with ya big guy.  Is this something you can be cured of or is it something that you can get the symptoms down enough to live with?

I'm pretty sure it is genetic so it is something I'm going to have to deal with the rest of my life which isn't really a surprise to me because four years for me has seemed like a lifetime already haha. But I just gotta keep trying to find ways to lessen the pain however we can. I know that Ehlers Danlos has something to do with like ligament connectivity or something, so I am ridiculously hypermobile and have been my whole life. Although that was a great help for me when it came to BJJ and Wrestling and there seemed to be no awkward position I would find uncomfortable hah. it is because of this that my ligaments really struggle to keep everything in place especially around my core and spine which makes it really easy for discs to rotate and rupture and pretty much everything in general getting out of alignment which they say shouldn't be happening so easily in somebody so young and that people, for the most part don't get those problems until later in life. My last physical the****** told me that every time I came in for a session my body felt like I had just bungee jumped or something which is pretty wild. I'm not really sure how I am going to work around this because things as simple as sitting are excruciating but I guess I just need to keep trying as usual. Anyway thanks for that Pierce it really means a lot!

I know what its like to struggle daily with pain, not to the degree it seems you do but enough that its exhausting some days.  I really hope you can find what works for you so you can live a decent life with the hand youve been dealt.
