So did Gregory already make point scoring changes? does it start with todays events?

no, there haven't been any point scoring changes made.  beastie is just pushing hard for it. the idea would be that you get some points if you correctly pick KO or SUB, even if you don't get the round correct.

What's a fair point total for TKO and sub without the round?

So I've watched a little NASCAR the past two weekends. I've got it on now as I wait for Bellator telecast to begin.  Have to admit that if you give it a chance, it's pretty cool.

I'm with @Cashbrewyn on the picks.  I've gotten burned a few times with unknowns (to me) on the undercards.

@Jeremy, I think 25 pts, same as a decision pick.  The round is auto with a decision, you picked the method correctly.

http://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/bouts/bellator-40-mike-chandler-vs-lloyd-cupcake-woodard

The first MTV2 televised bout of Bellator 40 featured a lightweight tournament semifinal matchup between Lloyd Woodard and Mike Chandler. Both fighters entered the contest with undefeated records.

Chandler came forward attacking Woodard aggressively, nailing him with a couple of nice punches, clinching up and slamming Woodard to the ground. Woodard skillfully made his way back to standing yet was immediately pulled back to the mat. Chandler briefly looked for an arm triangle that was easily defended and Woodard got back to his feet. Chandler was unrelenting in his wrestling and brought the fight down yet again, into Woodard's guard. Back to the feet, and back down again, where the round ended with Chandler having controlled the pace and location of the fight.

Chandler ate a jab from Woodard and slipped to the mat to begin round two. Chandler jumped forward and landed a pair of punches, having used the leaping attacks to set up takedowns in the first round. Chandler was stuffed on a takedown and Woodard delivered a bruising knee to the face as Chandler was bent down yet still a legal strike. Woodard connected on a punch immediately after, though Chandler responded with his first takedown of the round. Woodard wall-walked back to his feet and kept a huge, wide base to keep standing. Chandler picked up and threw Woodard to the mat, and Woodard responded with a beautiful kimura sweep. Chandler scrambled to his feet and worked on a single leg that Woodard sprawled out of and deftly took Chandler's back. Chandler was in deep trouble fighting off a rear naked choke with under fifteen seconds left, kept his neck safe but then looked confused as he ate a series of punches from Woodard until the bell. An exciting round.

Woodard connected with a low kick, Chandler on an uppercut, and the critical third round was underway. Chandler landed a nice right hand yet in the clinch Woodard found a home for knees to the body and uppercuts. Chandler landed a takedown, and then slammed him down again as Woodard attempted to escape to his feet. Working from Woodard's guard with under three minutes remaining, Chandler had a great opportunity to seal the fight in his favor over the remaining time in the round. Referee Jason Herzog stood the fight up with 1:40 remaining. Woodard threw a head kick yet Chandler scrambled so effectively that he was able to pull the fight down and find his way to top position with a minute left. Chandler again looked for an arm triangle choke but got nowhere with Woodard's defenses. Chandler landed a few right hands in the final seconds in Woodard's guard, and appeared to have won himself the fight.

All three judges scored the bout 29-28 for Michael Chandler, who advanced to the finals of the lightweight tournament. Speaking with Jimmy Smith in the post-fight interview, Chandler commented, "Hats of to him, Lloyd Woodard, you're an amazing fighter... 2/3rds of the way to the goal, the goal is to get through this tournament and then fight for the title, give Patricky me in a month, let's go."
