Makes sense from a business perspective, but from a divisional perspective I don't like it and feel that Franklin should be getting a top ten opponent, not stepping backwards against Le.

but logically it should be like this
Franklin > Wanderlei
Wanderlei > Cung Le

so in theory
Franklin > Cung Le

I'll take Franklin to win this. It could be a third round tko because Le's conditioning has been questionable, and Franklin is one of the best conditioned fighters around. Honestly, this really shouldn't be that challenging of a fight for him. Le looked better against Cote than against Silva of course, but Cote really didn't look conditioned at all.

There aren't five guys in the middlewight division who are better than Franklin. He doesn't get fights with guys like weidman, munoz, or Bisping because Dana White doesn't want him to "damage" their contender status when he beats them.

@Sgt is that a joke did you actually just say Franklin would beat weidman or Munoz? Common weidman would smash Franklin, Munoz would put on a wrestling clinic. I can agree with Franklin beating Bisping but no way would he beat the two i mentioned.

Is your post a joke? because it certainly seems like it when your spewing nonsense like Munoz would smash Franklin. You my friend are simply mistaken. Franklin would dominate Munoz. Franklin TKO a bigger stronger better Munoz already in Matt Hammil who ironically enough KOed Munoz.

If this fight comes to fruition, I have Le picked by a TKO victory. Franklin is a shell of his former self, and I think that he will attempt to stand and trade with Le, and get caught and stopped. Le's kicks will make the difference. However, if Franklin happens to get this fight on the ground, I can see Franklin stopping Le.
