I agree, and if there's one thing I would never do it's bet on a fight like this (I don't bet anyway, but if I did...)

really hoping the money comes in on Kongo hard and heavy.  I want to bet Jordan, but want the line to take a bump in my direction.

I describe Cheick Kongo as very capable, but very unreliable: On an off night he can lose to just about anybody.

But I do think he will win here with that huge reach advantage.

"This is heavyweight guys. Any heavyweight who connects on the button can put the other guy to sleep, it's hard to determine who has a great chin or not but I wouldn't call either guy weak chinned.

Jordan got KO'd earlier in his career but has also taken huge shots from Lavar Johnson and Thompson and smiled. Kongo has been getting rocked a lot more in his more recent fights, I am tending to think his chin may be going as he is getting up there in age as well.

Jordan has also improved dramatically since moving to Jackson's after the Devin Cole fight. And he could turn this into a wrestling match if need be. I think he's more then capable of taking Kongo down."

I tend to agree with this. I could also see this fight being extremely boring decision is Kongo is able to take down jordan at will. If so he will do his lay and pray like he done in several other fights. Which is ironic since he supposes to be such a feared heavy weight striker, but tends to try and take other strikers down or hold them against the fence.  (Hunt and Pat being exceptions, but I believe that was more due how fast the fights where)

Cheick is just too experienced for Jordan. Even Jordan said it's a huge jump in competetion. I'm a Kongo fan and would love to see him get the KO in this one.

In all honesty, I dont think Kongo has as much power on the feet as he used to, I would actually give Jordan the power advantage here. I think if Kongo wants to win he needs to resort to that GnP that he has, he has brutal GnP and if he uses it here I think he wins it. But Kongo will most likely stay standing, and I think they will stand and bang till someone drops, and that someone is gonna be Kongo. Jordans chin is superior imo.

I'm rather surprised Jordan's the betting favorite here. Kongo's faced way better opposition than Jordan has, not to mention has a 4 inch height and a 8 (EIGHT) inch reach advantage. Don't think for a second that won't play a part in this fight. Kongo KOs Jordan, who probably should seriously consider moving down a weight class.

I'm very surprised at the odds, but I ******* LOVE IT! He's a better technical striker and a better wrestler than Shawn Jordan. People calling his chin weak are crazy, He got KOed once in his whole UFC tenure and it was against dynamite hands Mark Hunt. He's got excellent recovery, in fact people should be putting Kongo in their top 15s. Cheick Kongo doesn't get nearly as much credit as he should.

Like who the **** is Shawn Jordan anyways, he's not on Kongo's level. He submitted Lavar Johnson...I could submit Lavar Johnson and I'm not even kidding. I'm sorry but I don't get how Jordan's the oddsmaker favorite...just insane but I'm happy I get to reap the rewards.

@anik, Lavar johnson would snatch the life right out of you. Im kinda seeing your point regarding credentials though. 10 years of youth must be playing a role, look at how many champs now are under 25 years old, JBJ,aldo, rory mcD, Barao, eric kock, etc.

The youth is beginning to overcome experience somehow maybe this affected the odds?

well Shawn Jordan isn't on the levels of Jones, the Amazing Jose Aldo, Rory MacDonald, Renan Barao or Erik Koch...sorry.

And Lavar is the most powerful heavyweight striker not named Shane Carwin BUT, his ground game is the worst on the whole roster and it isn't even close.

^^^Erik Koch? Bwahahahaha. Koch shouldn't even have a title shot and is going to get mauled making his performance look worse than Cub Swanson vs Aldo. Erick Silva should be more appropriate on that list.

Also I keep flip flopping on this fight. Kongo is too much of a question mark for me.

This is a tough one, either guy could get KO'd at any point during the fight.  I think Jordan will be the first to land.
