I'm catching heck from raray for picking a submission on this one (couple of kickboxers), AND GETTING IT. :) Pretty cheeseball, I admit.

You completely cleaned up on that event -- 8 of 10???  If you start repeating those performances they're gonna lock you away in a bank vault.  As far as I can tell the French completely refuse to train on the ground so I guess we should have all seen this coming.

Prediction: correct Gustafsson   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 1  

Please note that Gustafsson had never won by submission before Saturday night, nor had Diabate lost by submission since 2005. Why Gustafsson chose to work the choke four separate times before getting the tap instead of just hitting Diabate until the ref stopped it is a mystery to me.

diabate just got broken.  choke wasn't even that great or tight.... he just wanted to get the hell out of there.  i can't blame him...
