Hey guys,

Another fantasy thread, Just a quick question who do you all think should replace vitor? I honestly don't know who they can bring that can save this ppv! I know it will be huge in brazil but as far as people in north america who can you replace him with to add appeal? Do you take a guy who is already booked for a fight like Brian Stann? Michael Bisping? if not who are some notable 185er's who dont have a fight booked?  Maybe Belcher? I'm completly blanking on it? What do you guys think?

WANDERLEI-TITO 2...THE REMATCH. LIKE EVERY OTHER TITO FIGHT.

Ok seriously though, how bout Wanderlei/Mayhem? Ok I'm kidding again, we don't want Mayhem throwing a bottle at him too.

Wanna know what would legit be awesome? If they signed Mamed Khalidov and made him fight Wanderlei. Hooooooly ****.

if belcher would take i can see the media promoting it as the guy who beat a brazilian,
and brazilians would probably be more interested.

but i think the perfect scenario would be for them to introduce Jacaré to the UFC and stop giving him chumps.

that's a great idea.

This is the reason why Montreal is the mecca of MMA: We'll take any fight, not just our boys. Anyone who thinks Brazil is the Mecca of MMA is stupid and anyone who thinks TORONTO is the Mecca of MMA is just dumb as ****.

Wanderlei. He's never been submitted.

Of course, Jacare would probably be the best grappler he's ever faced but there's sentimental value in a Wanderlei pick.

Yeah.. Jacare would be ok.. I'm still racking my brain though for a name that gets me excited.  Didn't Cane drop to MW?  Is he scheduled to fight?  That would be a stand up war.

I agree Belcher is the best option but this is still a VERY weak PPV. Throw Glover Texeira vs. Nedkov in there.

Does anyone else think L. Cane making his MW debut against Wandy in Brazil would be a good idea?  Unless Luiz won't be ready due to the weight cut?  I just think that would have more appeal.. but I like the Belcher idea 2nd best over Jacare.

EDIT:  Ah crap @Soccer.. I wonder if he would be ready/willing to move up a month & a half for the opportunity to fight in Brazil?  Have Belcher then replace Cane to fight Okami.

I think the UFC shouldn't put 3 shows in Brazil because they don't have enough Brazilian talent to accommodate their fans. Only places on the planet that deserve 3 shows a year or more are Las Vegas and Montreal.

Brazilians are funny that way though... the UFC could put just about any Brazilian fighter in the cage (big name or not is what I mean) and the fans will show up and root like hell.. some of the most loyal countrymen fans out there.

Anyone else have an opinion on Luiz Cane?  See my last few posts.  I think it gives the Brazil card that appeal back (at least some of it) and gives Belcher the opportunity to move up in compeition (ranking wise).  The Wandy/Cane winner would prove themselves to be "back" and if Belcher beats a former title contender.. well.. the UFC couldn't deny him much longer.

hmn it could be a way to make Cane a star, but the question is can he be that?
i dont think so.
but i think he could engage wanderlei in striking, which could lead to a nice fight.

I think giving Wanderlei Luiz Cane is kinda gay. I personally don't think Luiz Cane is good enough for a UFC job and if he is, he's barely good enough (think Damarques Johnson of the MW division). If Luiz Cane main events a card, the world will end in 2012.

You better hope @Mino doesn't see that post @Anik!  I think Cane has the tools/skills to give the fans what they want.  That fight would be all out war until someone goes down.  Can Cane be a star?  Probably not.. but I like the match up better.

The fight would be great for the first fight on the main card but a main event? With Luiz Cane? REALLY?

Really. No. Can't happen, sorry.

@Kalibo I'm all for Cane moving up and Belcher taking Cane's spot against Okami since the Okami/Cane fight is in Denver!!

@Soccer... I think it makes more sense for Belcher.
@Anik... what fighter do you think that could replace Vitor IS suitable for main event status.. in Brazil.
