Haldan has background in Seiki-Juku Karate which is an offshoot of Kyokushin and Gōjū Ryū, and ranks as 3rd degree black belt in the style. He represents the Bu'sen Dojo in Twickenham, which was founded in 1901 by the revered master Sensei-Kaoru Mishimu. He is trained by Sensei-Frank Perry - a direct student of Mishimu who is one of the UK's great Japanese Martial-Arts pioneers and Champions, also famous for his "breaking" ability of objects with his bare hand among many other feats. At a young age, Haldane is already a successful Martial-Arts coach and competitor.
