My Summary

Bantamweight is an extremely exciting division. I'm very excited that the WEC merged with the UFC, and these fighters can get the exposure they deserve.

  1. 1

    Dominick "The Dominator" Cruz
    Dominick Cruz
    "The Dominator"
    24-4-0
Cruz is an excellent fighter, and his domination in the Bantamweight division has earned him a spot in the top 10 p4p fighters in MMA. He is a few wins away from cleaning out the division.
  2. 2

    Scott "Young Guns" Jorgensen
    Scott Jorgensen
    "Young Guns"
    15-12-0
Jorgensen is coming off of an amazing knockout win over Ken Stone. The UFC will likely match him up with someone in the top 10. Benevidez or Johnson could be next, which could lead to fireworks.
  3. 3

    Joseph Benavidez
    Joseph Benavidez
    28-8-0
The win over Wineland was very impressive.
  4. 4

    "The California Kid" Urijah Faber
    Urijah Faber
    "The California Kid"
    35-11-0
Faber looked good in the loss to Cruz. A rubber match between the two looks necessary as the BW division is starting to get cleaned out.
  5. 5

    Brian Bowles
    Brian Bowles
    10-3-0
Beating Mizugaki doesn't really move him up.
  6. 6

    Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson
    Demetrious Johnson
    "Mighty Mouse"
    25-4-1
Johnson looks better and better and after Cruz beat Faber, it looks like he's next in line.
  7. 7

    Miguel Torres
    Miguel Torres
    44-9-0
Torres got outwrestled to a decision that most thought he deserved. Torres looked good in the fight but another title run is looking less and less likely.
  8. 8

    Brad "One Punch" Pickett
    Brad Pickett
    "One Punch"
    26-14-0
Has a fight coming up with Barao.
  9. 9

    Michael "Mayday" McDonald
    Michael McDonald
    "Mayday"
    19-4-0
    This kid is crazy talented.
  10. 10

    Takeya Mizugaki
    Takeya Mizugaki
    23-14-2
Mizugaki remains in the top 10 despite the loss to Bowles.
  11. 11+

  12. 11

    Norifumi "KID" Yamamoto
    Norifumi Yamamoto
    "KID"  |  18-6-0, 2 NC
Kid didn't look too bad in his loss to Johnson. He's been looking better and better since his injury, and hopefully we will soon see the dominant Kid Yamamoto again soon.
  13. 12

    Renan "The Baron" Barão
    Renan Barão
    "The Baron"  |  34-10-0, 1 NC
Barao is a grappling ace. I'm excited to see what the UFC does with him next.
  14. 13

Damacio "The Angel of Death" Page
    Damacio Page
"The Angel of Death"  |  20-10-0
Page is a very entertaining fighter, and he holds some good wins over big names, including Scott Jorgensen and Will Campuzano.
  15. 14

Ivan "Pride of El Salvador" Menjivar
    Ivan Menjivar
"Pride of El Salvador"  |  25-12-0
Coming off an impressive but close win over Nick Pace.
  16. 15

    Eddie Wineland
    Eddie Wineland
    24-16-1
Coming off a loss to Benavidez, where he was beat up throughout the fight. Benevidez is a top guy though, so he remains top 15.
