Im not a cage fighter, im a student. a fight is just a test to see if i can implement what i have been taught and worked on. At higher levels its about being the best at the sport and achieving your personal goals. people forget that work ethic, respect and honor the is fundamental in our fight world. Im on a never ending quest to learn and evolve. I like to compete in amateur muay thai and MMA fights. My first fight was Muay thai in 2007 and i kept on fighting both amateur muay thai and mma until 2012. I took over 2 years off and recently returned to training in june of 2014. I completely revisited myself as a fighter. I switched to a new gym that my friend opened over the summer which i believed was more suitable for my style, and i wanted to train with the most gifted grappler I know around my area in pat walsh. he is my head coach and a good friend. Being that im a muay thai striker, i figured that by training with the best ground guys i would ensure that i could keep a MMA fight standing where i could fight MY WAY. when i returned and made the switch i also implemented cross training and thru a close friend and old highschool wrestling team mate i was brought into the Cape Cod Fighting Alliance acedemy and kru gresh granted me the blessing to attend whenever i wanted or needed, which became two days out of my 6 day week. Shortly after my first visit the CCFA i hired loco lobo as my head Muay Thai and MMA striking coach, but he also trained and coached me mentally and helped show me how to mentally prepar for combat. between my trainging with teamVCA where we have doomsdays muay thai and striking tutelage and my equal amount of instruction from Loco lobo and his elite sparring partners, i have developed a perfect style of fighting for myself. Loco Lobo just naturally is in tune with me and how i fight and he had me dialed in on day one. every fighter knows that feeling when they find the right coach and mentor. Since my return in june ive been studying and practicing only muay thai. My first fight under my new regimen was a thai fight in october. I fought 30lbs above my weight as it was the only way to get an opponent for that event, and i won by knockout in the 3rd round. it felt good and exciting to win like that after a big change and i look forward to whats to come. I have a professional carreer in construction so that does take precedence over training and fighting so when work is good im always training but when my financials start to slip or work thins down i tend to conserve and workout at home, my dream is to work or get paid to train and be at the gyms all day long and see how good and how far i could go in both Muay Thai and MMA. And be remembered as a humble student, a kind teacher, and ruthless and calculated killer in the ring.
I train and fight for #teamVCA
