My Summary

Kind of stretched on the #10 with Shogun. I don't really care though...All hail Shogun.

  1. 1

    Anderson "The Spider" Silva
    Anderson Silva
    "The Spider"
    34-11-0, 1 NC
Untouchable. Once in a lifetime kind-of-fighter.
  2. 2

    Georges "Rush" St-Pierre
    Georges St-Pierre
    "Rush"
    26-2-0
Has not been the same since Matt Serra knocked him out. Still solid #2. If he gets past Diaz, it may be time for a superfight with Silva.
  3. 3

    José Aldo "Junior"
    José Aldo
    "Junior"
    32-8-0
Unique style. Brings it every fight. Could possibly hold two belts at the same time, that's how good he is.
  4. 4

    Cain Velasquez
    Cain Velasquez
    14-3-0
Insane cardio. Biggest test comes in the form of JDS.
  5. 5

    Jon "Bones" Jones
    Jon Jones
    "Bones"
    27-1-0, 1 NC
Hype train if you will. Beat Shogun when he was coming off knee surgeries but still brutalized Rua nonetheless. Stop this "goat" talk. Let him defend the title first.
  6. 6

    Frankie "The Answer" Edgar
    Frankie Edgar
    "The Answer"
    24-11-1
Plenty of challengers left at 155 but needs to get past the bully first. Beat probably the best lightweight of all-time, BJ. not once, but TWICE.
  7. 7

    Dominick "The Dominator" Cruz
    Dominick Cruz
    "The Dominator"
    24-4-0
Able to get by Uriah, but was still a close fight. Very well-rounded, yet beatable. It's a matter of who can beat him though?
  8. 8

    Gray "The Bully" Maynard
    Gray Maynard
    "The Bully"
    13-7-1, 1 NC
Very tough, almost beat Edgar but almost doesn't cut it. Very capable of taking the belt from Frankie if he brings the same attitude he did in the second fight, except don't go for broke in round 1 and have nothing left for the championship rounds.
  9. 9

    "Suga" Rashad Evans
    Rashad Evans
    "Suga"
    20-8-1
Battered with bad luck, Suga keeps knocking on the door for a title shot. 3 straight wins, coming off a huge TKO finish of Tito Ortiz. Evans has placed himself in position to regain the 205 strap.
  10. 10

    Maurício "Shogun" Rua
    Maurício Rua
    "Shogun"
    27-14-1
Following a tough defeat to Jones, Shogun has got himself right back in the title picture with a KO of Forrest Griffin. There is no doubt that a healthy Shogun is a dangerous Shogun that can make another run at the belt.
