The only reason I looked this up is that I found a post-fight reaction video blasting Garcia and stating he lost his last fight. The boxing commentators introduced his opponent as a veteran despite his record. Unfortunately, the feed goes out for the 2nd round. Garcia is a solid puncher. I found another video of one of his knock outs which was a body shot. His opponent was pressuring him here but he was making smart moves, slipping shots and was standing his ground at times. He lost a round on the judge's scorecard but I can only imagine it was round 2. Garcia has beaten 3 guys higher ranked than Lozada (Lorenzo, Carranza and Dudo).

I couldn't really find anything on the other guy. Lozada had a draw with a guy ranked 871. I believe Garcia would be ranked higher than that if he was not inactive. I am hoping ring rust won't be an issue for Garcia.

I ended up doing the research on this one since some of the odds are looking a little better now. My two banana peel fights are Tudor vs Gonalez and Sandoval and Mama. I feel both of these fights could go either way but I picked Tudor because of youth and potential pedigree in light of his successful brother and Sandoval because he has beat superior competition. Gonzalez had a solid outing against another young but more experienced (6-1-1) prospect and barely lost on the cards. With this being Tudor's debut fight and with his amateur record not being the greatest, this could turn out to be a real challenge unless he is able to take charge. As for Mama, he has only lost to Sunny Edwards so its hard to determine his level.

Diaz, Eric Tudor, Chavez and Garcia have all beaten superior opponents and their opponents have losses against lesser competition. Obviously no true guarantee but easier to gauge where their levels may be.

I love Joseph Diaz at -950. He has a jingoistic double leg flapjack and a natural Samoan driver. Diaz will likely fuel the crowd noise. Truth!
