Jones vs. Evans

So Titan FC is doing a contest that the first person to pick tonights main event winner and method wins a trip to their show in may.

One person put, Evans via Muay Thai strikes.

Well, he was probably beaten by all the obvious Jones Via *insert method of destruction* so he went with an option that wasnt chosen? Watch him get it right haha

My method of victory for Jones keep changing, but I guess I might stick with this.

I think Rashad will start to gas due to Jones' pressure, then get rocked and submitted in the later rounds.

Say what you will. But Rashad just went 5 rounds with Jones and looked pretty good at some points. Give him credit now? Jesus.

this one hurts. why evans did not try to take him down earlier.

Jones looked like he was just toying with him, embarrassing really. 

Rashad did what no one else was able to do, that is impressive. Emotionally neither of these guys wanted to put themselves at risk, but it looked like Jones put himself on the line more with the riskiness and it happened to pay off. There were some moments that made me nervous, but overall an entertaining fight. It was good to see Rashad loosen up in the fifth round.

I know apologies won't set things right, Mike, Anik, Nik, gregory, et al, but I was as emotionally invested for this fight as I have ever been for a fight. That is saying a lot. Apparently once I pass a certain threshold I get stupid, and I don't anticipate that happening again. I am not apologizing for fear of being banned so much as I am sure you guys don't deserve to be addressed in the manner I did, and as individuals, and as the Tapology group, I sincerely apologize.

Rashad showed tremendous heart tonight.  I'm as proud of him as I have ever been.

I'd still like him to move down to middleweight though.

Would be interesting seeing rashad move down a weight class. Didn't he start out at Heavyweight too on TUF?

It would have been so easy for you to come back and be a major ******* @JudoRandori since you were right but you got a thumbs up for just being so respectful and cool. Its not bad when guys talk trash when they're humble afterwards

@Russelo: yeah, I had already played the ********* card, no sense throwing that one back out. Rashad may not count going the distance a moral victory, but seriously, how long has it been since someone was ABLE to do that? Bonnar in '09?!

Judo just gets passionate when Jon Jones is involved in the picture. He's alright.

Thanks, Anik. Truth to tell, I don't know why I do, I never trained with him, or even met him. I think its just because I don't understand the dislike some fans have for him. Sonnen, yeah, I get that. Silva, yup. Rampage, sure. But there are just some guys I don't see a reason to dislike: Wandy, Forrest, and Jones to name a few.

Glad I didn't scare you away, LLS. Just gotta take my meds and I am fine. 

People dislike Jones because a lot of the things he says and does comes across as scripted and fake to pander to the audience. The best example would be the infamous "GET SOME FANS JON" line.

He also comes across as completely full of himself and acts like a ******.

I like Jones though, he's such a beast to watch and each time he's in the Octagon, I know something special's about to happen. He's a one-in-a-generation type talent that everyone has to appreciate, like Sidney Crosby or Peyton Manning or Kevin Durant.

Anik, I get what you're saying about 'get some fans, Jon,' but that wasn't Jones. Also, there isn't anything that can be pointed out about Jones in terms of ****iness that isn't true of Evans and worse. won't last long. I am not trying to re-stir anything, but Evans doesn't seem to get the same level of hate. Evans started the public perception of Jones as fake, but he was a psych major, he knew what he was doing.

If you aren't sure of yourself in MMA you won't last long.
