Chito is one of those guys who is so calm in there, and we know he starts late. The Sandhagen loss was a head shaker, but Sandhagen is a master of combat and did what he had to do to get the win and it was a brilliant display of MMA.

This being a 5 round fight, Chito is gonna start slow but there is no way this man is gonna walk into this thinking it's easy, he's not taking Sean lightly, there's no one he takes lightly. That's why he's got to where he has without being finished, but once the 3-4th round start Chito will take over, I believe.

Sean has grown a lot, I believe he lost the Yan fight but he smoked Aljo, and he stopped his take downs. I believe this fight will be on the feet, I do not think Chito will come out and taken Sean down. He's gonna go what he does and it's brilliant he'll let you throw out what you got and then he'll take over in the latter rounds.

Now this did not happen with Sandhagen, but Sean isn't going to start taking Chito down, which we didn't expect Sandhagen to do. Sandhagen is a war horse, he takes MMA very seriously.

This is gonna be either 5 rounds, but I believe Chito has the better heart, he has not thought about the rematch or even mentioned that, he's still focused and realizes how dangerous Sean is.

He has no quit in him, this is gonna be a ******* war.

Just rejoice in the fact that you can actually bet the 'KO under 60 seconds' prop (finally) with a high success rate

I'm aware and was just saying hes been learning to grapple for at least 5 years now, at least according to his Wiki page. I was just highlighting that this transition for him to MMA has been going on for awhile since his first pro fight was in 2022. He had already been grappling for 2-3 years at that point.

I already knew that he was a physical specimen but I didn't know that he was a cuban olympian with great experience in taekwondo that was preparing for the transition in MMA for a while. That definitely helps with his hype.... and if he was also part of the Yoel Romero experiment his age is not that important either.

Still....I am gonna have to see this dude fight, cuz right now it's looking like a: "Holy **** this guy is a fraud" moment waiting to happen after one of his fights go pass round 2.

I understand the doubts about Despaigne, but the UFC know what they’re doing. Parisian is a bottom tier heavyweight coming off 2 losses. Athleticism alone wins this one for Despaigne. Questions down the road? No doubt about it. Not this weekend though.

Yeah not a whole lot to go off of from his fights. He reminds me a little bit of Renan ferriera where he might not be great at mma but he is so freakishly large and powerful that it might not matter until he fights someone ranked. If josh Parisian survives round 1 he could win but seeing how easily he has been rocked in every fight doesn’t make me confident he can survive a punch from despaigne

When you look at the physique of guys like Yoel and Robelis, it definitely makes you wonder what the hell they're putting in the water over there in Cuba.

@Sidomavicius
Parisian is arguably the worst HW on the roster. The UFC booked this for a reason. They want Despaigne to get a highlight KO on a PPV card in Miami in what will be a very pro-Cuban crowd.

For anyone who hasn’t seen him fight, here’s his career highlights. His entire mma career has lasted 5 minutes and 13 seconds

Is there ANY video anywhere of the rubix cuban practicing grappling? If there is and he looks anywhere near competent I'll back the dumb truck up on him. Parisian is probably the worst HW currently on the roster.

Anybody that has watched Parisian fight for a single round knows this is about to be an absolute murder. I dont think the grappling is going to be relevant until he's fighting in the rankings. This dude has the largest reach in the promotion. I dont think Parisian is even going to get close enough to him to clinch him up. The key is his speed. As Ayy said, the guy moves like a flyweight and that's not an exaggeration. Parisian isn't a small guy by any means. Dispagne is going to make him look small while moving at 3x the speed.

You'll never find a better opportunity on paper to bet "fight ends in under 60 seconds". That's how lopsided this is.

Call me old fashioned, but Pedro, Burns, and MVP continuing to be bet deeper down as underdogs strikes me as a huge opportunity.BSD scares me so I'll respect him as a favorite

He's also huffing and puffing with mouth wide open  going into round 2 pretty much every fight, he goes to decision when the rest of the fight is him surviving or making it the most slow paced boring fight possible. So its not like he's the prime candidate to expose a possible gassing from robelis. I'd be more worried about it from someone like Parker porter who isn't good but will keep going (to some extent)

I especifically wanna know what the cuban government give their athletes on the olympic program as well as what happens in the pyramid style training program.

The way Romero explained it on JRE made it seem like they need to make a movie about that place.

Robelis Vs. Parisian has the same 'concerns' of when Nickal debuted against Pickett.
Many unknowns & worries including - debut jitters/striking ability/cardio/low mma experience/only fought cans etc.

Parisian is literally the Pickett of the HW division, but I'd say Pickett is better pound for pound. We're talking about the same guy who just got rocked/hurt on the feet by 'Supreme Power Puncher' Martin Buday before getting subbed

Quit being scared of  'monsters under the bed' - if you're a bettor, take Robelis at the sweet price right now while it lasts. Not until he faces any real tests will you get a good price again

Exactly -worst case scenario is it goes to round 2 and Robelis is gassed. Guess what? So is Parisian.
But going to the 2nd round happens probably 5% or less of the time here imo

Same strategy as Jorge but JDM should stay on feet more.
