no he doesn't lol he weighs around 175 in his walk around weight out of camp which is actually pretty normal for a 155er. to put it into perspective, aljamain sterling walks around 170-173 pounds and he fights 2 divisions lower

poirier probably gets down to 165ish by end of training camp and watercuts the rest which is just a regular cut

https://twitter.com/DustinPoirier/status/1709937499378995597 proof of his walk around weight

I love Tapo but use a PC mostly on phone it is harder to use still love it thanks Greg, Bare you are spot on Dustin is not even a big 155er.
Really weird people made that up when he fought max saying he was 185++, he used to make 145 lol bit leaner though.
Dustin and his power are predicated on speed and precision, BSD will be bigger and stronger.
I may change my pick if they are closer than I think they are.

I don’t get how Sterling make 135lb (61kg). I’m 155lb(70kg) and I’m like how could I lose 10kg to make battamweight. Sterling has at least 10lbs(4.5kg) on me so it even more nuts.

I think most bantamweight at closer to what I weight at 155lb, Aljo is a massive weight bully

More, I'm looking at the card, more I think its incredibly stack. UFC 300 has a better men event, but it's the only edge it has over UFC 299.

Poirier vs. St denis, Holland vs. Page, Burns vs. Madellana, Yan vs. Song, Blayde vs. Almeida, Chookagian vs. Barber are all close fight that I can see both of the fighting having a path to victory.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 14 Winners, 4 Perfect, 465 Points   |   Tied for 5779th

O'Malley vs. Vera II
Sean O'Malley, DEC
Great card but I could possibly see some of these fights being snoozers including this one. Yes chito is dangerous when he doesn't have to worry about getting taken down but omalley is the better striker in a standup fight. Omalley 49-46 pls don't be boring pls don't be boring 🤞

Poirier vs. Saint-Denis
Benoit Saint-Denis, SUB, R3
I see this fight going alot like porier vs oliveria. Maybe porier drops BSD at one point but BSD is too damn tough and too damn talented to pick against. I think this is a nightmare matchup for porier. I see BSD ripping body kicks hurting porier then winning via G&P or a rear naked choke

Holland vs. Page
Kevin Holland, SUB, R3
This fight I see being extremely boring unless Holland fights like a complete dumbass like he did against Wonderboy which he probably will. I just think MVP is overrated and got to the ufc too late. If Holland fights in the clinch he should easily win

Burns vs. Maddalena
Jack Della Maddalena, TKO, R3
Maybe burns can has success wrestling JDM but I think the powerful jab of JDM will give burns a lot of issues. I see JDM getting a KO in this one

Yan vs. Song
Yadong Song, DEC
This is an extremely close fight. Both guys are equal everywhere although I think yadong has better takedown defense and more power. Yadong by split decision

Blaydes vs. Almeida
Jailton Almeida, SUB, R3
Blaydes is a bad matchup for Almeida because if Almeida can't get the fight to the ground he could get KO'd but I think blaydes has overrated grappling and will get subbed

Cerminara vs. Barber
Katlyn Cerminara, DEC
Should be on the early prelims or better yet on an apex card. Yeah barber will probably win but I don't think she's that good and I can see cerminara getting the upset

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
I worry about this pick because Gamrot is just a one trick pony but RDA is too old for me to pick in a high paced heavily grappling fight. Gamrot by split decision

Munhoz vs. Phillips
Pedro Munhoz, DEC
Phillips looked great against song yadong but since then he hasn't impressed me. Munhoz by split decisoon

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michel Pereira, SUB, R2
If oleksiejczuk can keep this at boxing range and keep the pressure on Pereira then he'll have success but Pereira is too fast and more skilled. Also the fact that he doesn't have to cut as much weight anymore will help his cardio

Lins vs. Cutelaba
Ion Cutelaba, TKO, R2
I think ion is trash and lins is kinda underrated but cutelaba doesnt really have any ko or sub threat to worry about & I think it'll help his confidence which is key for him

Despaigne vs. Parisian
Robelis Despaigne, TKO, R1
Yes Parisian is a bum but what happens when Despaigne doesn't get an immediate finish? Being an Olympic taekwondo medalist means nothing to me

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R2
I just don't think vergara is good at all.

Wood vs. Moroz
Maryna Moroz, DEC
Hey ufc we have the apex for these type of matchups. Going moroz because if I'm not mistaken this is woods retirement fight so I doubt she's been training that hard

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 9 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 615 Points   |   Tied for 2870th

O'Malley vs. Vera II
Sean O'Malley, TKO, R2
I think O'Malley proves how good he is in this one. I'm a little low on Chito.

Poirier vs. Saint-Denis
Benoit Saint-Denis, TKO, R2
I am very confident that BSD wins this. This gives me Volk/Ilia vibes, without the belt being on the line. BSD is a future champion imo.

Holland vs. Page
Kevin Holland, DEC
HOLY BANGER ALERT! Can't wait for this one. I think Holland wins a crazy fight.

Burns vs. Maddalena
Gilbert Burns, SUB, R1
I love JDM, but I think it's inevitable that he will eventually grapple with Burns, and it'll be over from there

Yan vs. Song
Petr Yan, DEC
I could get this one wrong. I just think Petr still has some gas left in the tank. I also don't think Song poses any major threats to Yan in this fight.

Blaydes vs. Almeida
Jailton Almeida, TKO, R2
I have Almeida winning this, but I don't think he subs him and I also think he finishes Blaydes. I also believe that a GnP TKO is a reasonable bet. I feel that the Derrick Lewis fight was both an outlier performance and a learning experience for Almeida. I feel pretty good about him in this one.

Cerminara vs. Barber
Maycee Barber, DEC
I almost went with Cerminara here, but I'll be a sheep for this one

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Gamrot all day here. I think he's the most underrated 155er on the planet. His pace and chain wrestling will be too much for RDA, especially at this point in RDA's career with him being 39 and coming off a loss, and moving down a weight class against a better fighter than who he just lost to. I think this is easy work for Gamrot.

Munhoz vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, DEC
This is close on paper but I think Father Time has finally caught up to Pedro.

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michel Pereira, DEC
I'm high on Pereira. I really like him here.

Lins vs. Cutelaba
Ion Cutelaba, TKO, R2
Starting to really get excited for Cutelaba fights nowadays.

Despaigne vs. Parisian
Robelis Despaigne, TKO, R1
I'll drink the Kool-Aid with this one. Despaigne by Round 1 knockout.

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R2
Almabaev is a future top 5/top 10 flyweight for me. I think he puts on a show here.

Wood vs. Moroz
Maryna Moroz, DEC
Joanne is still fighting?

Predictions: 10 of 14 Winners, 9 Perfect, 750 Points   |   Tied for 597th

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Gamrot by Dec. Probably has -3.5 quite easy too. Also Overs are quite locked

Munhoz vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, DEC
Phillips by Dec. Not really locked, and needs to handle Pedros pressure but I think Kyler has a great rd 1 and then maybe think about hedging. Also Pedros never been finished. Maybe bet splits.

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michel Pereira, DEC
Pereira by Dec & maybe even -3.5. I think he has what it takes to make it look semi easy.

Lins vs. Cutelaba
Philipe Lins, DEC
I think Lins has what it takes to win. Unsure how...

Despaigne vs. Parisian
Robelis Despaigne, TKO, R1
Sprinkle on Despaigne by KO Rd 1 & Parisian by Dec Only

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, DEC
He's probably getting to be too much of a favorite, but I had Asu easy in my predictions. Great wrestler, fast strikes.

Wood vs. Moroz
Joanne Wood, DEC
Wood by Dec & maybe bet the splits. She's a dog & Maryna is the easy choice....if she committed to her punches & had a chin/was down to eat a punch
