I'm not the biggest Sean fan, but I seriously think he's getting more from the crowd in Toronto, the power advantage goes to DDP and he's unorthodox but Sean, we know his game plan. It's to stick to his boxing and slowly take over with his jab and right cross, then mixing in other combinations.
DDP is on the rise, tbh both these men are on the rise, but I'm not sure what's gonna happen. I know DDP wants the finish, I know Sean does, but something tells me (Drake) that DDP wins this one. No, seriously this is a 50/50 fight.

The more money he puts on you the stronger the curse gets. Hope strickland can overcome 700k of bad mojo.

Dricus Du Plessis, DEC
i can see this hitting scorecards, strickland hasn't been taken down since he was a ww and dricus is gonna have to conserve his tank a bit for the potential 2 extra rounds. ultimately, i kinda view sean as the modern bisping, someone that probably shouldn't even have the belt and likely won't retain it for long. that said, dricus is unrefined and gets by on physicality. wouldn't be too shocked if sean can keep it a sparring match, but i'll say dricus forces more of a dogfight and lands the bigger shots?
Pennington vs. Bueno Silva
Raquel Pennington, DEC
silva bjj game has impressed, but she doesn't seem to find the td's herself and moreso relies on her opponents bringing her there, not sure raquel will oblige. thinking pennington can clinch/stall/chip.
Magny vs. Malott
Mike Malott, DEC
i think the number of sub losses magny has makes people think this is an easy snag for malott, but all of the guys that have been able to do so are respected bjj players within mma (+ shavkat) and subbing fuggit/lainesse isn't the same class. still think it's possible malott gets the better of the striking regardless of if he'll be able to take it down. neil needs to fight a solid range strategy and i'm not sure malott gives him the space.
Curtis vs. Barriault
Chris Curtis, DEC
seems like it'll be a battle of who can push r1 without burning too much gas. i'll say curtis can avoid mean-mugging too much and push more.
Allen vs. Evloev
Arnold Allen, TKO, R3
i really thought i was gonna go movsar easy, but now i'm kinda feeling like he's gonna be in a bad spot if he's forced to strike and allen has done good job avoid getting taken down the past few years.
Katona vs. Armfield
Brad Katona, DEC
guess i'm thinking brad can mix it up if striking starts to sway towards armfield. don't know enough about garrett to say what his strength is, but i see that his pre-ufc losses were to grappling based fighters so i can feel confident picking brad to grind.
Jourdain vs. Woodson
Sean Woodson, DEC
jourdain is gonna need to close distance really well in order to get past woodson's jab, not sure how that's gonna go. i'll say he gets stuck on the outside and be pleasantly surprised if he can find another highlight.
Sidey vs. Taveras II
Serhiy Sidey, TKO, R2
missing weight against the guy that just beat you isn't a good look, but it makes my pick easy because i know nothing about either.
Robertson vs. Viana
Gillian Robertson, SUB, R2
maybe gillian gets stuck striking, but i feel like she'll eventually have an opportunity at the back and can probably grind it out if necessary.
Lainesse vs. Patterson
Yohan Lainesse, TKO, R2
probably a battle of composure, no idea who will win. i'll pick yohan's power i guess?
Jasudavicius vs. Cachoeira
Priscila Cachoeira, DEC
i'll just say priscila comes with the volume and be happy if she falters.
Gordon vs. Flick
Jimmy Flick, SUB, R2
i'll just take the risk here. gordon missed weight and doesn't wanna be on the ground with flick, not sure he'll be able to keep range though.

Strickland, Decision
I strarted my research really liking Du Plessis as a dog but I think I *may* have overrated him. Especially after smashing Rob. On reflection he finished out of shape Till on a skid and Brunson who looks good until you punch him... Neither of which are in the UFC anymore. Oh and decisioned Tavares (who's been finished twice since). Strickland breezed passed Izzy, Cannonier (in reality), Brenden Allen who's streaking, Jotko, Imavov, Hermansson... All these guys are still doing well. And what Middleweight/Light Heavyweight doesn't get chinned if they play "the man dance" with Alex? You try and not get chinned by Alex. Looks like one of the hardest challenges in MMA today. Strickland stays safe in a wonky 1st round, before getting more comfortable 1-2ing Dricus who keeps lunging in with big but inaccurate shots. It looks closer than it is in round 2, before Sean runs away with it in round 3, 4 and 5. Dricus is a slab of meat and will be tough to finish so I forsee this going the 5 rounds. I would consider it an upset if Dricus smashes Sean. But we've seen crazier sh*t...
Magny vs. Malott
Mike Malott, R2 Submission
Magny's running the gauntlet at the minute testing the new gen. And by testing I mean getting destroyed if they're actually decent. This is a layup fight for Canada's best current representation. Magny's tricky on the feet and tough to finish clean so I don't see a KO, but we've seen good grapplers smash Magny and Malott is motivated. Many can stay safe for a round, but 2 rounds? I'm not so sure.
Those are probably my favourites for the card. Allen is tempting but I have bad feeling about the fight - might be a live bet if he breezes through a takedown or two in the 1st. Beuno Silva looks good, but if she fails a few grappling exchanges early on that'd be worrying. Barriault seems quite hittable and Curtis finishes fights when he lands flush. But Curtis, Strickland and Allen all winning sounds to good to be true :(
