Kaiwen Li, TKO, R1
Li is awesome but I’m still not that sure he’s gonna do well in the ufc. I mean, they could very easily give him cans for highlights, but I’m still not sure how far he could go in the ufc. He is a brawler but all brawlers have a ceiling. That being said, kanda looked really bad vs yibugele and is a striker so he will play into Li’s game. Hoping for some li kaiwen violence
Choi vs. Jiniushiyue
Seung Guk Choi, DEC
Hard to judge how jiniushiyue looked because he fought one of the Indonesian cans, so it was essentially a free win. Choi is well rounded but just super green. He has tools everywhere to get this done. However, he still does make mistakes and I didn’t really like how he looked vs kumar. He should win this but I don’t know/have enough info on his opponent to be confident in either side
Yi vs. Kim
Zha Yi, SUB, R2
I still don’t know why or how Kim got selected for this tourney. Sure, he got a win but like he’s not good at all. He was losing to sasu before randomly sleeping him out of nowhere. I doubt he will do that against za. I didn’t think too highly before of za, but after watching his fights again I can see this guy is actually pretty talented. Also, he’s fighting with something to prove because he was robbed badly out of a ufc contract
Tsuruya vs. Climaco
Mark Climaco, DEC
Really annoyed these guys are meeting in semis instead of the finals; these two are both seriously talented & both deserve ufc shots. Tsuruya looks like a phenom. He’s only 20 yet he’s been doing martial arts basically since he could walk. His grappling looks phenomenal but I do want to see more of his striking. Climaco has a really unfair advantage since he trains and fights in the us, so his training partners and competition are far superior to anyone in the tourney. With that competition, he brings a ton of experience and knows how to win close fights (just see his last fight). On the feet I favor climaco by a lot and I think he is a good enough wrestler to avoid getting subbed by Tsuruya. However, I wouldn’t be shocked in the least if Tsuruya finds a way to win; his grappling is scary good. My only hope for this fight is that the ufc gives one of these guys another chance. 125 needs the bodies and both could make a splash in the division
Danesoe vs. Tumendemberel
Peter Danesoe, TKO, R2
Fantastic matchmaking here. I like both so really sucks one has to lose. Nyamjargal has insane power for a 25er but his striking is super sloppy. Doesn’t set things up well and throws a ton of looping shots. However, when he does connect clean his power is absurd. He has some grappling but it’s nothing special. I thought he was gonna sub Topnoi but his grappling looked sloppy too. He can mix it up, but if this stays on the feet, no way nyamjargal can win. Danasoe has much crisper standup & will see those looping shots come from a mile away. Winner should get a ufc contract & I hope they bring the loser back

Exhaustive New Predictions
Predictions: 2 of 3 Winners, 2 Perfect, 150 Points | Tied for 161st
I tap Kaiwen Li at -270. He has a bodacious overhead chop. Li isn't about to flaunt the production.
Tsuruya vs. Climaco
I trust Mark Climaco at -140. He has a bodacious gas tank and a quick powerbomb. Climaco must prevent the cage.
Yi vs. Kim
I predict Zha Yi at -550. He has a radioactive indian deathlock. Yi will likely best the unthinkable.
