I think Gané vs Spivak and Fiorot vs Blanchfield are almost sure main and co-main, plus Imavov against a ranked middleweight (after all, he was winning against Curtis before the unfortunate head butt).

But yeah, it would be great to have some kind of official confirmation.

And I really can't wait to see who they're going to sign for this card, there is a bunch of talented french prospect right now deserving of a spot in the UFC ...

Gane vs. Spivac
Ciryl Gane, TKO, R5
As expected. Decent main event for the french card, especially if Fiorot vs Blanchfield co-headline, and if Imavov is featuring the card vs a ranked middleweight.. And to be honest that was best fight available for both. Tough matchup for Gane in front of his countrymen tho, especially now that his glaring flaws (takedown defense to keep it short) have been highlited in such dramatic fashion by a Light Heavyweight and a guy known for being a terrible wrestler himself. To be fair to poor Gane, the Light Heavyweight in question is arguably the GOAT of all time and best MMA fighter to ever do it, and the other guy is the baddest man on the planet right now, and a physical freak with the strength of a cameroonian buffalo. Spivak, while tough, talented, very well rounded and on a good run, is a big step back in competition compared to Jones and Ngannou, obviously.. And his better wins are not aging well. Derrick Lewis is looking like the shell of a ghost of his former self, Sakai looks like he lost all confidence since Overeem demolished him, Oleinyk is old as the world and not in the UFC anymore. That would leave Tuivasa as his best scalp. I think Gane has better TD defense than Tuivasa, and has usually great at deciding where the fight takes place. He will probably loose one or two rounds with TD and control, but I think for the most part he stands back up, uses his great footwork to outpoint Spivak on the feet, en route to a competitive decision or a late tKO stoppage. A loss would be a nightmare for him, as the french fans are already unexpectedly angry at him since the Jones defeat.

@TenaciousBling
I know, I wanted to see Gane vs Pavlovich as much as anyone else, but apparently the UFC wants to book Jones vs Pavllov instead of Miocic...

And since all the other top heavyweights are either booked (Blaydes vs Jailton, Aspinall vs Tybura) or already have lost to Gane (Volkov, Tuivasa, Lewis), that is the best match up available, that's why I knew it would be that.

It's not a bad fight either, and it's arguably a tougher test for Gane, with all that wrestling marmelade from Spivak.

The card will probably look great for a fight night tho, if they add Fiorot vs Blanchfield as expected, and Imavov (who was winning the Curtis fight before the headbut) vs a ranked middleweight (Hermansson ? Gastelum ?).

Plus a bunch of talented french fighters on the roaster (the insanely tough Benoît Saint Denis is always super fun to watch, Gomis looks great and very well rounded thus far, and Taylor Lapilus is a very promising bantamweight who looks like a future contender. And Zarah Fairn... Well... She's one of the 3 or 4 female featherweight on the UFC, but that's about it lol.

And the UFC wil almost certainly sign some french prospect like Lazy King Abdouraguimov, who is looking like the next Chimaev on the regional scene, Kevin Jousset who trains with Adesanya, perhaps Morgan Charrière if he wins his Cage Warrior bout without injuring himself in July, and the red hot Oumar Sy, and who knows who else.

As a french fan, I can't wait !

I don't know if Gane can improve enough and get up to speed in his grappling in only 6 months, especially when his holes in that department were so glaring. horrible feeling Spivac does him like he did Lewis
