Does anyone know what Damir’s status is? Didn’t he say after his loss to Arman that he was retiring, then walked it back and said he would fight his last fight on contract which would be this fight? Is he still on that plan? Because if he plans on retiring after this fight I’m for sure betting Dawson
@MelukaYes. His comments were alittle odd, but I'm not sure how much of it was translation issues. He made it sound like he wasn't aware he had 1 fight left, and he would fulfill it, and that he wanted to field offers from other organizations? But yes, originally he mentioned medical issues which was a bit concerning. My approach to the fight is to back Damir but not go crazy. Right now his odds have continued to drop to near dog status, which I can't pass up. I'll take the risks with that kind of price against Dawson.

The very fact that anyone is thinking of playing Brenner against Guram is the exact reason why you should never bet just on odds (or else you are just insane).
Also seeing and hearing so many people and so called betting experts saying things like "He is not a lock at minus 300". So what does that mean? He would be a lock at a different number? How does the odds change who is going to win the fight?
I find it strange that none of these people have yet figured out how the bookies make money. All good. I will just keep printing money my way and laugh to myself at all you guys chasing odds and lines

@Standard_Splityeah I think on paper it’s a tough matchup for Dawson, but I’m wondering if maybe Damir’s mind isn’t in the right place currently then he could look a little worse than usual out there. I also think there’s a chance Dawson just continues looking better as he has his last few fights since leaving Glory and maybe it’s enough to get a close win. Probably one of the best fights on the card imo

Damir vs. Dawson is a hard fight for me because I'm not crazy impressed by either.
I think I have to go Damir here though. He borderline loss to Guram and fought well in a losing effort against Tsarukyan but hes shown hes a legit top 10 LW.
Madsen was a solid win but his draw with Ricky Glenn was hard to watch.

@foppa420yeah, as someone who’s been a fan of Dawson since his debut the Glenn draw still haunts me a bit. We’re coming up on 2 years since that fight though and I think he’s shown good improvement in his last two fights since switching to ATT, I think that’s honestly been the biggest difference for him. Obviously the hardest fight he’s had so far but idk, I feel like Damir always somehow ends up underwhelming a little bit even though I know he’s extremely good. I think it’s pretty close to a 50/50 fight
