Loser gets cut probably. Miranda needs to avoid the takedown, but if he does, he needs to work for a submission.

@michigan do you think loser will get cut there both great fighters but i suppose they might get the axe... I think simpson takes it by decision.

Simpson has the superior wrestling, and Miranda had tons of troubles with takedowns from Maia. I doubt this fight will be on the feet for too long. Miranda could get a late tko if Simpson gasses like he did against Leben, but I won't bank on that. I'll probably end up picking Simpson by UD.

As a fan I like Super Mario. However unless he lands a really good punch, I don't see him winning. Simpson is too aggressive and has more power in his punches and will be too much for Miranda to handle.

I think I will stick with Simpson, but i have my doubts concerning his ability to keep mario down and his cardio. Wouldn't surprise me to see the upset here.

Simpson is an animal; he is still capable of running off a string of 4 or 5 straight and getting into the title mix. He'll need to start tonight if he wants it to happen.

I'll go underdog with Miranda. You never know how old wrestlers can keep firing on all cylinders, but at age 36 with Simpson it's something to look out for. Simpson actually hasn't faced a great BJJ opponent yet, with the best one perhaps being Ed Herman. Simpson's gas tank might be a little overrated, and if Miranda can survive the initial onslaught I wouldn't be surprised to see him pull off a submission.
