But if today has not been a great day at the office for Mark Smith: in the Usman vs. Tafa never gave warnings for lack of activity when Usman was only hugging in the clinch for most of the first round or when he practically only throws a hammerfist every 15 seconds during the second and third rounds, now he had stoppage where maybe he could wait a little longer. Time for Tavares to show if he could still defend himself, surely The Wells vs. fight. Semelsberger wouldn't make it past the first minute if Smith saw the way Wells was knocked down during that early part of the fight.
