You can 100% go off their kickboxing fights. Adesanya has lost for the same reason 3 times one was a robbery where he only wanted to counter and sit on his lead. Both knockout losses came for that reason as well. He had the fights in the bag and his output completely dropped. He just tried to evade and move away from everything while throwing nothing back. Which allowed pereira to chase the fight and get more reckless without having to worry about what’s coming back you can’t dodge every single punch. If you let your opponent tee off on you he will eventually catch you. Maybe wrestling tired adesanya. I just see the new guy to the sport improving his takedown defence more than the more experience guy will improve his takedowns. One thing izzy can’t ever change is the size difference. It’s very real and it’s a factor in grappling exchanges. It’s taking more energy out of adesanya than him. Pereira also outlanded adesanya in the last fight by the way most people don’t know that
