Garbrandt vs Jones

This is one of the weirdest ******* matchups I’ve ever seen, up there with Bahamondes vs Makdessi, and Khamzat vs Diaz. Not only does it not make sense logistically, it’s also just a bizarre clash of styles. 

Cody fights his best when he approaches a fight like a sniper, but often scraps like a brawler. On a good day, he looks like one of the scariest Bantamweights in the world. On a bad day, he’s one of the lowest fight IQ troglodytes in the entire roster. 

Trevin is one of the most peculiar fighters I’ve ever seen. He’s a grossly limited and one-dimensional fighter, but that one dimension of his is pretty ******* formidable. His entire gameplan revolves around being a southpaw, but with a twist. He’s actually right handed. He baits the opponent with his left cross to bait them into his right lead hook, which is his actual power side. He basically took one of Bruce Lee’s concepts (that the power side should always be your lead side) and made a whole fighting style out of it. 

Trying to decide who beats who is like betting which in-door carpenter is the most likely to slice their own fingers off, it’s less about who did the better job, and more about who didn’t adapt thoroughly enough and ****** up.

Would have to be a new injury at this point I think. He looked pretty good on the scale physically, just way over the mark. If he had a bad cut we'll probably see it in round 2 if it goes that far. He usually coasts a bit in rd2. He didn't look drained at all on the scale though so not sure what's up.

Jon Jones's form looks trash in heavyweight. It looks like the UFC is trying hard to find an American heavyweight champion. People say he will use his wrestling, but this homie couldn't take down Reyes, why would he succeed against Gane? Ngannou took down Ciril, but that's because he's inhumanly strong. For me, it will be a very easy job for a Frenchman.

I've been watching quite a bit of PFL for this card. I have to say as far as boomer commentary goes, I vastly prefer PFL's version to that of Bellator.

Funny thing is Jones will win on Saturday, but not the one everyone expects. For Cody, beating Cruz was a curse, and now they've given him a guy who's going to rip his head off.
Why is some Saaiman the favorite against Martinez? It should be 50/50. +800 on MANABOI in the first round.
