Reach advantage isn't real in how it's measured. It used to be knuckle tip to arm pit, now they measure from finger tip to finger ti0 but that doesn't account for shoulder width or finger length so it's misleading. Ontop of that these UFC measurements are very inaccurate often and Volks been reported having a 64,66, 69, 70, 71 and 71.5 reach in his career at different points. I wouldn't put much stock into it.

yeah that makes sense, I just thought it was funny

I also think volk is probably 5'7 and not 5'6 but yeah, ufc rarely gets their measurements right

Very true but there is probably a working stipulation with whomever he is working with to fix fights that it has to be some kind of action from the losing fighters side. Would be hard to give Volk rounds if Islam has 25 minutes of top control.
