I disagree - I think it's either Israel by decision or Pereira by TKO.

If Izzy accumulates his reads ASAP (as he does very well), he'll be safe as usual

if Izzy accumulates all his reads asap, my pick could go wrong, but I think he's gonna walk into the octagon emotional due to the history he has with Alex and the pressure he'll be under. I highly doubt Adesanya will be thinking perfectly clearly tbh. and for Alex, it's like, I've already knocked this guy out twice, I'll just stay relaxed and do what I do best. Pereira has a massive mental advantage over Izzy and I think that's what'll win him the fight

I think you make a noteworthy point, but thing is I personally don't like to assume one is susceptible to mental weakness until I see it. I would also say for someone who has been the champ for so long + profoundly believes in their skillset being levels above most (with supreme confidence) - I tend to lean towards a belief that their mindset is strong.

I'm sure Izzy is doing even more homework to prepare atm.

I would guess that the longer the fight goes, the better it is for Izzy (as a result of more time for reads), but I'd give Pereira a TKO chance in the earlier rounds.
But, for all we know Pereira may prove to be just as good at immediately adjusting to Izzy's counter strategy-it's why this fight is so awesome and I can't wait!

The way I see Izzy winning this fight is how he was winning the second fight with Alex. Stick and move and land combinations, it was true that he had Alex hurt but it was clear in both fights that Alex had the significant power advantage. In 4 ounce gloves that will be the difference in this fight

Eh nah there will still be a significant power advantage for Pereira, but I do think Adesanya can definitely hurt him back

Predictions: 7 of 14 Winners, 0 Perfect, 365 Points   |   Tied for 3987th

Adesanya vs. Pereira
Israel Adesanya, DEC
So the new Poatan lovers and Izzy haters aren't gonna like this, but Izzy will play it safe and out work Poatan, I think it will be similar to the Yoel fight in the sense he will be tentative, but like against Costa, he will strike, when powerful Alex moves forward. Remember what Bruno did against Alex, Izzy will mix it up a little too, slow down the fight, eek a decision by around 3-4 rounds.

Esparza vs. Zhang
Weili Zhang, TKO, R3
Carla will come with a gameplay, maybe land a takedown or two, but Zhang will throw dangerous combinations, make Carla tentative to engage, and catch her mid-way through the fight.

Poirier vs. Chandler
Michael Chandler, TKO, R2
I actually think Dustin is the better fighter, but Chandler adjusts well and can throw and land clean when he finds the right shot, he did that against Charles, Justin, Hooker and Tony, he's 2-2 for the win like that, and 4-0 for the knockdowns with that approach, Timing beats Speed, MJ and OG McGregor did that on Dustin, and got him out there once they landed a bomb, Chandler will do the same either round 2 or 3.

Blanchfield vs. McCann
Erin Blanchfield, DEC
Hype over... probably.

Reyes vs. Spann
Dominick Reyes, DEC
I think Dom doesn't go for the kill, straight PTSD from wars with Jan and Jiri, I think he'll land well and tactically strike, Spann's only winnable approach is to make it dirty, early, but he gets caught and tired like that mostly.

Moicano vs. Riddell
Renato Moicano, SUB, R3
Moicano is an incredible low ranked 145er and a amazing "just outside the rankings" 155er, that's no shame, he is a game guy, and with the pressure and striking to pop, he'll do Riddell like Jalin did.

Azaitar vs. Frevola
Matt Frevola, DEC
Ottoman has been out for awhile, he's actually really good, but despite a strong start, I think Frevola pushes the pace and tires Ottoman out for a W.

Hooker vs. Puelles
Claudio Puelles, SUB, R2
Hangman gets hung.

Ulberg vs. Negumereanu
Nicolae Negumereanu, TKO, R2
Pop Pop Bang!

Adesanya vs. Pereira
Alex Pereira, TKO, R2
I think that Adesanya will get too emotional in the buildup to this fight. I don't know, either he will choose to win a decision, or he'll get reckless trying to finish Pereira, getting caught with Pereira's deadly left hook in the process. I don't see this fighting ending well for Adesanya. Pereira 2nd round KO

Wellington Turman, SUB, R2
Such a strange fight. Petroski is 3-0 in the ufc which is pretty crazy, I think Turman is the better man on the feet and I think Andre will get tired leading to a sub for Turman. He's looked improved since going to Danbury

It's funny my two strongest picks for this card are two women's fights in Weili Zhang and Erin Blanchfield.  I have about 90 percent confidence in both of those talented women winning.
