Tony is not the same mentally, in this losing streak he was outstruck and demolished with a stading TKO stoppage, outgrappled, outwrestled and brutally Knocked in his last fight, but in this last fight not only was he hurt multiple times by Diaz but he was also submitted . The shin cut might affect Ferguson mentally during the fight, but I also saw him very erratically during the fight unsuccessfully attempting a lot of spinning attacks and lowering his head a lot. Tony clearly wants to keep fighting, but I think he can't fight at the top 15 level mentally anymore, neither at lightweight nor at welterweight (personally his idea of going up to welterweight seemed very risky to me, and if tonight he had faced a fighter like Vicente Luque or Li Jingliang probably didn't get past that second round he had against Diaz). He could pick up wins against the low or even some intermediates at 155 pounds, but if he faces top 15 or top 15 contenders, he'll end up like BJ Penn against Yair Rodriguez.

Tony just hasn't fully recovered from that Chandler KO, he might've wanted to be there but his brain didn't, he was flinching at everything and turning his back multiple times, his brain just wasn't having any extra trauma tonight, very sad to see, not to mention him smiling and being genuinely ecstatic about his loss... man really needs to retire and take care of his health.

I’m starting to think that main event was ******* ********. Tony got his limbs torn off by Oliveira and Dariush in ACTUAL submissions but he taps out to a ******* stupid ass ******** choke that wasn’t even sinked in? Dude looked like absolutely terrible horse****. I will always be a fan but get the **** out of the sport man. You’re completely washed and not good enough for this sport anymore. Tony’s just broken, not there mentally or physically and he should NEVER fight again. It’s too much pain for everyone involved
