Gore is just going to be submitted in the first 3 minutes. I think he actually has the ability to knock out Nickal, but Nickal isn't stupid enough to risk standing with him for too long

Yeah I agree pretty much the same. Nunes vs Aldana would be the only reasonable fresh match up where the opponent has a good ranking, a good skillset, and the style match up would probably bring a somewhat entertaining fight. But the problem is that Aldana just cannot seem to get a T5 win, but she can beat pretty much anyone else below, so marketing that fight would be difficult for the UFC because even the casuals probably wouldn't be convinced.
Only other thing I can see is if maybe Valentina fails in her rematch with Grasso, maybe then they can try the Nunes trilogy somehow by having Val move up again?? But that would just further prove the point that the division is completely stale and seems to be progressing absolutely nowhere. Like idk if a new champ would even do anything for the division, there just doesn't seem like there are enough younger fighters replacing the older ones.

Joshua Van should be on the contender series and not this tournament. The Flyweight tournament is insanely stacked and I hope some losers even get contracts but at least guys like Rei Tsuruya, Jung Hyun Lee and Sumit Kumar are super young and early into their careers, if they lose they can always win a few and get on the contender series or the following year's road tournament or just get signed straight up. Van and Climaco being top Flyweight prospects from the US were odd to add to this already stacked tournament, so I'd he happy of Van was just doing a 1 off or DWCS instead.
