Instead of spamming the boards everytime I see some cool news, I’ll post it here. I’ll also keep track of prospects I like, new signings to ufc/dwcs/Bellator/etc.

Because the UFC did a poor job of scouting actual Chinese talents in the previous season, while they did a good job of scouting and signing the best Korean talent. But this season isn't any better either. And Yi Zha would have won the fight against the Korean tiger if it hadn't been for the incompetent refereeing.

Now let's break down the Korean talents you're hyping:

Han Seul Kim - Decent record for a Korean regional fighter, his best win is against Frank Camacho but lost to some 8-5 guy in 2020. And he's 32 years old, he won't make a dent in either the UFC or One.

In Soo Hwang- I'm sorry if this is the best Korean unsigned MW then that says more about the Korean regional scene than you realize. This guy's best win was against a 4-0 fat middleweight. He would probably get dusted in the first round against Rong Fan from One.

Sung Chan Hong- The last 3 wins are against 1-1 guys, his best was against will hope way back in 2016, and I think he's around 30 years old.

Si Won Park- At least fought some guys with winning records and is one of the better Korean prospects out there.

Ji Yong Yang and Jung Hyun Lee - Already broke down their record in my previous post.

Min Woo Kim- Already talked about him in my previous post.

Joo Sang Yoo: He fought experienced bums in his first few fights, that's the best thing I can say about him.

Tae In Kim- 4-0, 29 years old, never fought someone with a winning record. We are scraping the bottom of the barrier huh?

Myung Hwan Kim: Not even worth mentioning.

Now please tell me with a straight face how any of these guys are better than the Chinese regional fighters? Or better yet, tell me how they would do better in the UFC or OneFc than the current UFC and ONE Korean fighter?

Right, but I just find it funny and baffling that some people here think the Korean regional scene is any better.

idk maybe they watch other combat sports where Korean talent is good so their perception is skewed 

Maybe they watch too much TKD because that's the only combat sport where the Korean talent pool is good.

Shuya Kamikubo is confirmed now. I think he’s too good for this tournament. Will see 💪🇯🇵

Per reports by vestnik and Sports.kz, it appears asu almabaev has finally signed with the ufc! This is a huge signing and a long time coming

In a tweet and delete from paulo costa, he hinted that he is fighting Sean Strickland soon 

Since yous were on about Koreans here is one of my big MMA prospect what if's, what if this elite Korean wrestler got into MMA... I think he made a nice life with wrestling and got sponsors and government prizes for his results... Also he is educated I think, so no need I guess, but yeah would have liked to have seen him in Road FC or the RIZIN ring, or who knows where else... 34 now though so he is for sure not coming to MMA he would have already

@ayy what about azat Maksum?

Haven’t heard any updates. I’m sure asu was first priority since Shavkat has been putting in a good word for him

I was almost sure Asu gets dwcs shot and Maksum should be signed straight up, but now it might be opposite.
Maksum is training in Denver. I saw him with Sandhagen on his ig 🇰🇿

He was “removed” from the roster because of his drug suspension. He will get added back when it’s up; I think 9 months

It shouldn’t. Kevin holland started a false rumor that the fight was cancelled. It was a joke playing off of the events of 279; he fought Khamzat and then the fights got cancelled the next day

  Alex Volkanovski x Yair Rodríguez is scheduled for UFC 290 on July 8, per sources. Not signed yet but everyone is on board. Featherweight title unification bout. TBD on what will serve as the main event for that card just yet.  

New potential addition to RTU. Peter Danasoe has been added to the UFC’s website. He’s 22 and started off 0-2, but has won his last 5 all by finish. He’s fought three times for ONE including last month where he ko’ed a 3-0 guy
