Nah, she's not. After I asked, I checked her instagram. Someone asked her if she was cut and she replied saying that she was still under contract. She seems back in training, but I wonder when she'll return.

Yeah, probably. It depends how she looks in her next fight. I know she beat Peña last time, but she has been out for almost 2 years now. If she returns this year, she should fight someone like Kunitskaya or someone lower on the rankings.

I hope they give the title shot to GDR, just because she somewhat interesting in a division that is boring and has nothing going on , Pena vs Pennington or Pena vs Mcmann might be the ****est title fights of all time NGL,

I more or less agree. I agree that the WBW division is not really exciting and I would not mind seeing GDR get a title shot. However, I don't see that happening. We all know what happened to GDR when she won the belt a couple years ago and she also has been out for almost 2 years. She doesn't have the kind of status like a JJ or a Dillashaw. So I doubt they will actually give her that title shot. Especially if Nunes wins against Peña, since Nunes already beat her twice.

I've be ok with Vierra vs Pena, I would watch that if it a co main to a good title fight, I won't be that interested in it , but it not that bad either like Pena vs Pennington or Pena vs Mcmann, I would take a 25 minute break if those fight were made

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 9 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 590 Points   |   Tied for 67th

Ortega vs. Rodriguez
Brian Ortega, SUB, R2
My opinion hasn’t changed up on this one, I think with the way Holloway took down Yair I’m pretty sure Ortega can do the same. Obviously this fight is close and I wouldn’t be surprised with a Yair win, I just think Ortega is better in his field

Waterson vs. Lemos
Amanda Lemos, DEC
Lemos is a tough fight for anyone in the division. Her striking is nice, one thing about Karate Hottie is she takes damage like a champ. Still won’t save her from losing a UD

Li vs. Salikhov
Jingliang Li, TKO, R2
Hoping for a nice KO for The Leech. I’m a big fan of his, as long as it’s a good fight I won’t mind. Salikhov is known for his point fighting so hopefully that won’t be the case here

Schnell vs. Sumudaerji
Sumudaerji, TKO, R1
Schnell by Sub isn’t a bad pick here, however Su’s striking combined with Matt’s suspect chin will ultimately end in a KO imo

Burgos vs. Jourdain
Shane Burgos, DEC
The 2nd best fight on the card imo, at least in entertainment value. I got my money on Burgos eating the shots and maintaining a killer pace to outpoint Charles

Murphy vs. Tate
Lauren Murphy, DEC
Biggest oof on the card. Penne and Ducote will be much more entertaining than this one imo. I got Murphy by Split Dec

This is a set up fight for Puna to get back on track and to cut Dalcha

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 400 Points   |   Tied for 1336th

Ortega vs. Rodriguez
Yair Rodriguez, DEC
I can't believe you guys picking Ortega. He cant take people down. Yair is just gonna peace him apart.

Waterson vs. Lemos
Amanda Lemos, TKO, R1
Karate Hottie is not that bad. But Lemos got good straight punches amd power. I think Lemos is gonna TKO Waterson.

Li vs. Salikhov
Muslim Salikhov, DEC
It's gonna be boring. Chinese guy cant beat kung fu master.

Schnell vs. Sumudaerji
Sumudaerji, DEC
Schnel is so bad.

Burgos vs. Jourdain
Shane Burgos, DEC
I think this one is gonna be fun. I pick Burgos not just because I will be rooting for him. I pick Burgos because he's bigger and more durable fighter.

Murphy vs. Tate
Lauren Murphy, DEC
I think Tate a bit better but she is washed up.

Soriano vs. Lungiambula
Punahele Soriano, DEC
So 3z 4 Puna

Simón vs. Shore
Jack Shore, DEC
Shore is more well rounded fighter

Quarantillo vs. Algeo
Billy Quarantillo, DEC
Should be ez win for Quarantillo.

Jacoby vs. Jung
Dustin Jacoby, DEC
Jacoby is better kickboxer

Grant vs. Stoltzfus
Dwight Grant, DEC
Stolfuz is so bad

Rowe vs. Nurmagomedov
Philip Rowe, DEC
abubakar Nurmagamabamedov is overrated

Penne vs. Ducote
Emily Ducote, DEC
Should be ez 4 ducote

This card will be stronger contender for most underdog upsets this year. Potentially a lot of money to be made if you play the right dogs.

1 of the best fightNights ever. Seems a ppv, considering the amount of great matchups and future champs

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 455 Points   |   Tied for 701st

Yair v Brian will be FOTY and could be PPV main event material. And these fights can main even fight nights considering the level of talent and momentum of the fighters, and how the matchup makes for a competitive war: Dustin Jacoby v Da Un Jung, Ricky Simón v Jack Sore, Shane Burgos v Charles Jourdain, just to mention some

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 415 Points   |   Tied for 1103rd

Ortega vs. Rodriguez
Yair Rodriguez, DEC
Would it be wrong to label this a kind of striker vs grappler matchup? While Brian's standup has improved remarkably (helped by his uncanny timing for spinning ****) his kickboxing game is nowhere near Yair's. Same can be said about Rodriguez's grappling when compared to T-City's. Ultimately I'm torn, as while I'm leaning a Yair UD, Ortega's ability to snatch a sub from anywhere is second to none except maybe Charles Oliveira and is the true X factor in this matchup. So **** it, double spinning elbow KO

Li vs. Salikhov
Muslim Salikhov, DEC
Finally, The King of Kung Fu is back in the octagon!

Burgos vs. Jourdain
Shane Burgos, DEC
blood for the blood god

Murphy vs. Tate
Miesha Tate, DEC
Expect Miesha to fight Valentina for the belt in November if she pulls this one off

Simón vs. Shore
Jack Shore, DEC
This fight really goes to show you can't make a bad fight in the 135 pound rankings, just ludicrously talented all the way down

Quarantillo vs. Algeo
Billy Quarantillo, DEC
Billy Q's been one of the understated action stars of the COVID-era UFC, and put on a sleeper FOTY contender with Hurricane Shane back in MSG last year. IMO he outworks Algeo handily in this one

Jacoby vs. Jung
Dustin Jacoby, DEC
Dustin's been on a nice streak lately, and (this is from the hip) should have much better striking than Jung to round things out. I'm expecting another solid UD

Burns vs. Askhabov
Khusein Askhabov, TKO, R2
Call me crazy but I'm sticking with the popular pick of the 23-0 Russian dude

Rowe vs. Nurmagomedov
Philip Rowe, TKO, R1
I'm riding with the Fresh Prince on this one and eschewing my normal adherence to the "Magomed = Money" Principle. He's got hands and great Jiu Jitsu, hope he cinches it

Ortega has better wrestling then he use too, He took down Holloway, Volk, and Zombie multipel time in they fight, That a huge improvement from a guy who only got 1 takedown in 7 UFC fights, And I also argue that Volk, Zombie and Max have better takedown defence then some of the guy T-city is facing in his first 7 fight,

And the most important thing is that Max, Zombie and Volk takedown defence is better then Yair

Burgos with the big reach advantage but it's negated because he likes to fight in close, his striking defense is bad and he gets hit too much for my liking, also a questionable chin, I think his chin becomes even more sus after each fight because of his style. Jourdain has never been KO'd and if he can handle Burgos' pressure which I think he can, he should get the W, on top of that I think Jourdain can KO Burgos with his laser left cross, same one he knocked down Vanatta with because it will be there all night for him, I also think Jourdain is a bit more well rounded with his grappling skills

Why is Abubakar the underdog?

Predictions: 5 of 10 Winners, 1 Perfect, 305 Points   |   Tied for 2675th

understand he’s not exactly *top class* compared to his brothers, but to have him over Phil Rowe is…well, kinda ridiculous

Phil has strong hands and some underrated clinch work, but that’s about it. His takedown defense and overall grappling defense is serviceable, but nothing that will keep his head above water when grappling with Abubakar.

Phil has also gotten his matchups spoon-fed to him. Orion Cosce frankly doesn’t deserve to be in the roster bad has atrocious standup defense, and Jason Witt has a seriously ****** glass jaw, so of course Phil’s heavy hitting style benefitted him greatly. Unfortunately for Phil, Abubakar is a far better striker than the both of them.

I dunno about you guys, but this comes off like Death Row matchmaking. Actually, let Phil stay the underdog, I like getting paid more for less effort
