What do you guys think about Dalcha? First Rd Ko coming? They will swing those hammers and someone falls soon enough. Hard to pick against Dalcha here and Soriano does not seem to be that safe of a pick. I did pick Soriano, but not confident at all - it very well may end in Rd1.

I understand what you're saying about the difference in level of competition between Burgos and Jourdain and you're totally right, Burgos has had the way tougher schedule. but let's not act like spartan kicking Ewell is the only amazing thing Jourdain has done in his career when he literally just submitted Lando in half a round

I'm kinda confident in Burgos too, Burgos is having great fights with top 20 guys, And only losing to the top , I like Jourdain as he a meme fighter, But I just don't think he's that good, He's 4 wins are to lower end guys, And he does lose to the middle of the pack guys like Erosa and Fili, I think Burgos will beat both those guys easily

I think I put Burgos in a parley,

Yeah, and this is my personal bias, but I also don't rate Lando. He's got a weird cult fan status that I just never found the invitation to. He's alright but makes Bobby Green and Drakkar Klose look like championship caliber. The guys Burgos loses to basically ARE championship caliber (or just below it, realistically).

Maybe I'm getting too MMA math about it. But Jourdain lost to Andre Fili, then beats Lando who is now fighting Andre Fili. And I just can't even imagine Shane Burgos being matchmade with Andre Fili. Burgos is fighting Kattar and Emmet and Barboza.

Maybe Jourdain is about to take the leap, but on paper these dudes are levels apart.

Lando Vanita loses most of his fights, He not that good, Beating Vanita mean he's belong in the UFC, But I don't think it mean much more than that, Vannita a fun fighter, But look at his record and you know what I mean,

I like Jourdain. But I agree with Duck that he's become a bit of a meme fighter. The Spartan kick went viral, but the less sexy fine print is that Ewell stopped fighting and shrugged at Jourdain at the bell, then got kicked and slipped to the ground. It was cool in isolation. But it basically came after fighting had stopped.

And then remind yourself that we're still talking about Andre Ewell.

Jourdain's win over Rojo is a very good one. It was a great fight and he got that KO victory. I love this fight between Burgos and Jourdain and initially picked Burgos, but than changed to Jourdain. No confidence in him winning, but just think he has a good chance.

Rojo 0-2 in the UFC. I dont wanna derail the thread, but if Burgos was matched up against ANY of these names he'd open as a -700 favorite. Jourdain is fighting for his life against them.

Salikhov looked much better at staredowns. OUtwardly he seems to have recovered from his cut.

Don't have to bet every fight, just pick a few winners and a parlay. Keep it enjoyable and not hair pulling madness. I say to myself... Fun card ahead, let's cash. Burgos, Tate, Algeo

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 4 of 12 Winners, 1 Perfect, 240 Points   |   Tied for 3343rd

Ortega vs. Rodriguez
Yair Rodriguez, DEC
yair definitely outclasses ortega in the standup game, and if he can avoid ortega pulling a submission out of his ass in the fight it's his to win. easier said than done, winner of this one will likely be just 1 fight off from fighting for the title

Schnell vs. Sumudaerji
Matt Schnell, TKO, R2
schnell will come out hard since he didnt get the result he wanted his last fight, and sumdaerji is no royval. should be a banger either way but schnell is hungry and has everything to gain from this

Burgos vs. Jourdain
Charles Jourdain, TKO, R2
im on the jourdain train, he's a savage and must watch for any fight fans. kill or be killed!

Algeo vs. Burns
Herbert Burns, SUB, R2
algeo is slick on the feet and known for his endurance, but 1) he's coming in short notice against bruns who has a full camp, 2) burns will probably solve his conditioning issue, given his brother's team has world class conditioning methods as evidenced with khamzat and gilbert. 3) algeo is way too comfortable giving his back and burns is too good to do that to. crazy to me that he's the 2:1 favorite for this

Jacoby vs. Jung
Da Un Jung, SUB, R3
i think jacoby's biggest weakness is his gas tank. otherwise he's a beast, and i think this will be a particularly grueling fight. i favor jung for his fight iq, and his endurance

Predictions: 11 of 12 Winners, 5 Perfect, 755 Points   |   2nd Place
