For a lot of reasons I haven’t enjoyed this card. Lawler snatching defeat from the jaws of victory by getting wreckless and by not shooting or holding barberena when he was clearly hurt. Cerrone losing for his retirement fight. The true end of the blessed era unless he makes another run. I’m sure he can but volkanovski is just a terrible matchup for him and nearly everyone else. He had a terrible gameplan and chased the fight when he didn’t need to. Use your range . Maybe yair can give him a tough time since he has more pop than max? I’d say the worst stylistic matchup for volk is Arnold Allen since he is defensively great and has good speed

in order to make Adesanya fights fun to watch, I now only pay attention to his fingers so I can see how bad the reffing is. TAKE MORE POINTS, HE WON COMFORTABLY ON POINTS ANYWAY IT WOULD'VE HAD NO EFFECT ON THE OUTCOME. This applies to O'malley as well.

That reminded me a lot of Gaethje Ferguson. We expected so much more from Max but he looked slow and couldn’t get anything going. I guess the difference here is Volkanovski made him look slow and intercepted every strike he attempted and discouraged him. Max might have some fun fights at 155 against vets like RDA, Conor or Gaethje but he’s stuck there as he may never earn another 145 title shot again.
