Both are excellent strikers and have looked good in their past two fights. Vannata has amazing footwork and great timing with his counterstriking. Jourdain can switch seemlessly between both stances and throw from any angle. Ewell tried to switch stances constantly vs Jourdain to avoid the low leg kick bt Jourdain just switched with him every time and kept landing the kicks. He is also more defensively responsible than Vannata and puts his guard up if he starts to get hit.
Both fighters like fighting in the open, neither fighter likes pressure opponents that can put them on the cage. Jourdain in particular starts to panic when he's pressed back too much and will start throwing with everything he's got, pushing on the opponent etc in an attempt to get them away.
Vannata mixes in a few takedowns here and there from time to time and Jourdain's TDD is pretty bad. Vannata doesn't hold opponents down and they typically quickly get up again but in a close round a late TD can steal it on the judges scorecards.
Vannata is 30 with 19 pro fights over some 11 years to Jourdain's 26 years with 17 pro fights. Jourdain has a lot more amateur fights though of the two and has more fights in total listed on Tapology across his 9 years in the sport. Vannata has definitely fought a bit better competition though overall and at a higher weight class. The cut to featherweight seems to have worked out fine for him with no complications.
This fight is in the small cage in the Apex leaving both fighters less room for technical distance striking. I feel that whoever can get control of the center of the cage and lead the dance will have an advantage.
I'm going to wait until last minute to make my pick on this one to have a look on both of them at the scale. Betting wise there's no good edge here that I can see, better left for livebets unless the over under looks juicy. I think it's hard to predict how long this fight goes though, could be a finish or a decision. Both fighters tend to finish by volume rather than power though so perhaps over 1.5 is a possible bet.

From now on until weigh ins, I'm only going to take my chances locking in the top slip, and maybe second, where I expect the line to get further juiced (like klose last week opening around -300 closing -800). And then the rest just pay up for line movement I've missed for the rest of the spots.
Romanov (vs boser), hadzovic, and now kape. 3/4 top 4 people. I essentially have a big bet on Andrade now with a little bit of underdog action attached.

There's only like 2 or 3 good fights left.
