just watched Garry and Weeks this morning, i think it should be close to a pick em fight

Weeks could win with his wrestling or Garry can keep distance and snipe from range

I do want to make it clear that I think garry is skilled, but he’s not nearly as good as people think. He’s got a well rounded game and a good team behind him but I don’t think he can back up the hype atm. He could be good in the future but, like his nickname says, that’s the future, not the present. Weeks is equally as green but makes up for it with his boxing and amateur experience.

he showed good heart and stamina his last fight on short notice, with a full camp he may be able to wrestle better the first 2 rounds and just need to survive the 3rd

jordan williams is also a very reckless striker and left himself wide open for that counter, don't think Weeks is going to give Garry that big of an opening for the KO shot

Yeah I was impressed with how he did against a big step up with practically no prep or camp for him. (He did indirectly have a camp because of the dwcs opportunity but still)

Bummed this card changed so much but think it will deliver as best PPV so far this year.

Volk
Think he dominates all fight for unanimous decision, possible 4th or 5th rd finish.

Yan
That's obviously not how Aljo wanted to win a championship so I think he comes out with more fight than people are giving him credit but don't see him winning.

Torres
Think she out strikes Dern for a DEC win. My concern is that her high volume of kicks will give Dern plenty to counter. If Torres keeps it tight she should win, she gets sloppy she may spend to much time on her back.

Eff it Pick: Weeks @ +280 might be worth a sprinkle.

For yan I think it’s also worth considering that he is an information based fighter. What I mean by this is he usually starts off slow so that he can get a read on his opponents game plan. I don’t think he starts off slow here because he already knows what sterling will/can do. Now, aljo may also change up his gamelan but I think we see a more aggressive Petr now that he knows what to expect

You guys think weeks wrestling didnt win him the fight because he was on short notice and just couldnt keep up the pace? And now he can neutralize garry for atleast 2 rounfs?

Garry’s tdd looks pretty good from what I’ve seen. Not sure weeks will be able to rely on it. I think he can apply pressure on the feet like Williams did but isn’t gonna be ******** enough to walk into a left hook. His only finish loss in 27 combined fights (boxing, ammy, and pro career) was from a doctor stoppage so he’s tough af.

Tecia will win as long as she doesn’t go  wanting to prove she can go to the ground with Dern. Dern’s only path to victory is a wild chance at a submission and she’d be the first to sub Tecia out of 28 of her career fights

There’s gonna be a huge speed advantage for torres too. Not to mention she’s a very high volume striker, which we know is where Mackenzie struggles. At lot of her submissions come from her opponents making mistakes and I don’t see tecia being dumb like Markos or cifers were

PETR YAN

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 1 Perfect, 375 Points   |   Tied for 4140th

I agree i believe petr does his usual slow start, but instead of taking two rounds i could see it being more of a slow two minutes then he really picks up the pace. i could almost see this turning into another uriah faber fight where he plays with his food.... but forreal he gonna hurt aljo this time.
