Jacoby v Oleksiejczuk is the best fight in this event, imo, and it'll be a very exciting scrap

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 5 Perfect, 525 Points   |   Tied for 2341st

I love these 2 fighters. Dustin is a smart fighter and a technical striker, and I hope he will be able to use his movement and avoid being in boxing exchanges way too much against the deathly finisher Oleksiejczukl is. Michal is the epitome of the "Polish power" in combat sports, i can't wait to see how he lands his spectacular left hand, that he throws from all different angles and with incredible timing, when he uses his relentless pressuring style. Michal will have to wrestle and try to kick a lil bit more, cuz Dustin has more weapons on the feet and better movement, at least to keep Jacoby thinking, but maybe just his amazing left punch is enough to get the win here when he hurts Dustin (he will hurt him, he hurts everyone with that left hand, even OSP was too hurt before he got the takedown and managed to finish Oleksiejczuk with the vonFlue)

Is Islam Vs RDA just everyone hoping, or is there any confirmation that there will be no replacement?

They need a replacement for a co-main event. They will get one. Hopefully Islam. Best replacement for Fiziev. I am sure we will hear about it shortly.

You're joking, right? RDA is one of the easiest matchups Islam could possibly get. There's one type of fighter that really gives Rafael trouble, and Islam is exactly that.

It'll be dissapointing if they move forward with RDA/Moicano though, even if that fight isn't half bad. Would probably take Renato against an aging Dos Anjos still.

Yeah i know he’s an easy matchup but if he’s asking for the fight let him fight. All this fight would do is give him more hype; what’s more badass than dominating another person just 7 days after dominating another? Plus, then no one could deny that he’s not fighting good competition. I’m not saying it’s islams fault, I’m saying the ufc probably doesn’t want him taking fights because they don’t want to risk him losing (even though he wouldn’t)

It's not the same without a high profile fighter like Islam. I can understand they don't want to risk it and build up the Oliveira fight. But as said above, i think most, including myself think Islam would beat RDA. I do believe Islam wins and why not test against a high profile name like RDA. If Islam is a good as we think beating RDA hypes up that Oliveira fight even more assuming he beats Gaethje.
If he loses which I doubt, then we know the fight would not have been what we expected with Oliveira.
Well, it's up to the UFC not us fans with who we want to replace Fiziev.

They arent afraid of him losing.

He's a main event fighter why would they put him in a co-main slot? He's a guy they want for main events.

Because he's a co main/main card fighter not a headliner.

.....Yes.

Moicano is a good fit for a co main slot...Islam is a Headliner they want to use on a big card not a co main event on short notice.

What are you having trouble understanding here?

You asked why Moicano would be the front runner for the co main event slot right?

Islam is the better fight. It's also another fight to show he is title ready. Moicano, does he really have the name value to co-main a PPV? A fight night yes. But a PPV?

Islam at least has that name value and its a bigger fight. This card isn't that stacked for a PPV.
Either way I am sure we will find out shortly.
