I could see him losing to hall because of tdd but he’d probably beat them all. It’s the fact that topuria is a great wrestler/grappler which will cost jourdain the fight because he has very bad tdd. Topuria will take him down with ease

I mean what about them on the feet? I know he has bad tdd but that shouldn't make ilia -600. It would be different if ilia grapple ****** everyone and you could be like oh clear path with the bad tdd he's going to do what he's been doing, but....like most of his UFC so far has been on the feet.

It's not that I'm saying jourdain will win, but he has a damn better chance than +500 underdog.

Jackson is a tough fight for Jourdain. I'm not blown away by Zalal but I think he will be back in the UFC and that could potentially be a tough fight.

I could see Jourdain KO'ing Ryan Hall maybe, but that could potentially be a sneaky fight too when you consider both fighters styles. Jourdain has weird pacing but Ryan Hall is just weird period.

Ayylmao just nailed it. His TDD is trash. He will struggle to beat even some gatekeepers in such a stacked division unless he can become more well rounded. It will be awesome if he can get better, because his striking is excellent.

Well I wouldn’t say he would struggle against gatekeepers because his striking is incredible. Ridiculous power for 145 mixed with unrelenting, high volume is very good. He does need to improve the tdd tho because it is completely ****, but he is a black belt so it’s not like he’s clueless when it comes to get up game and ground work but, it is an obvious caveat. And yeah good point about the mostly standup but he knows who he’s up against so I’m sure he’ll work in the takedowns. His striking is pretty good too tho he has power and good body work. I think the fight iq is there too because he wouldn’t engage on the ground with hall until he saw an opening and wouldn’t go to the ground against jackson because he knew that’s where he had the advantage.

Unrelated to the previous points but was zalal cut by the ufc? I don’t remember seeing that anywhere but I know he’s not in the best spot career wise

I'm with you on Jourdain DCpredictions. I have 1.5 units on him. He (and I) will probably lose but the line is ridiculously wide.

The thing is Illa Topuria take the smart road to victory, Because why the **** would he try to wresle**** Ryan Hall for example, He'll be ******** to do that, When he could just knock him out on the feet, I think that show smarts and a well rounded skill set, But when he fought Yuseff Zalal, He wresle****** him because it was smart to do so, Topuria got to know that grappling is he's easiest path to victory

In most of his fight, he show great wresling ether defensively and/or offensively, and good fight iq, Topuria going far

spot on. thats what makes ilia so good. Obviously the skills are there but he can put his pride aside and, even if he may be better than someone in a certain area, hes never going to play to their strengths. hes probably a better grappler than Damon Jackson is, but knew there was an obvious hole on the feet so he went there. he definitely doesn't have Ryan halls bjj but he probably could have grappled with him and was definitely the better wrestler, but like duck said, why on earth would you risk going to the ground with Ryan hall when you know you can beat him on the feet

youre bias because youre discrediting everything topuria has done in the ufc. and zalal is still in the ufc btw.
and jourdain has a ufc record of 3-3-1 and every fighter hes fought is worse than topuria and he went to a draw with josh culibao cmon now. i like jourdain, hes a real fighter. he puts on good fights but theres reasons why he is trading wins and losses

my friend is nerding out and trying to do some neural network **** and its predictions are
Ngannou DEC (Win72%)
Moreno SUB (Win92%)
Fialho DEC (Win79%)
Spivac DEC (Win75%)
Stamann DEC (Win61%)
Vieira SUB (Win98%)
Henry DEC (Win89%)
Topuria SUB (Win99%)
Rodriguez KO (Win99%)
Gravely DEC (Win68%)
Morales DEC (Win84%)
Demopoulos DEC (Win97%)
Frevola SUB (Win55%)
Hansen DEC (Win80%)
There's still a lot of errors on it because some of the fighters don't have enough stats under UFC to use. Interesting to see how accurate this is gonna be.

Stats that I know that the Network uses
-Height
-Weight
-Reach
-Stance
-Age
-Strikes Landed per Minute
-Striking Accuracy
-Strikes Absorbed per Minute
-Striking Defence
-Takedown Average
-Takedown Accuracy
-Takedown Defence
-Submission Average

-Comparison of Wins/Losses and their stats too.

also apparently throughout history the heavier the red corner is, the more likely it is to win.
