Alright folks,

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site.

So here's a place to talk boxing.

I'm only 112lbs with minimal boxing training but I fancy my chances against Fury! Recon he could cut to 115lbs at least to make it happen?

@CheckLeftHook

No, I really mean lbs as I'm a skinny little bastard! Besides, I don't think asking him to cut 150 odd lbs is an unreasonable request in exchange for the privilege of fighting such an esteemed pugilist such as myself! After all, I am putting my undefeated 0-0-0 record on the line here!

HELL NO! I only want to call out people with big names who I know have no chance of ever actually fighting me in order to seem tough on the internet, I don't want to start messing with guys who are both actually my own size and dangerous!

Great matchup!   Same night Edwards fights Alvarado, he takes on our very own Stephen Terry.  Gives you 6 weeks of training camp to prepare

@Joshjeffords

Jon Jones would have to take his own bodyweights worth of PEDs before he'd have a chance against you!

The 15th ROUND!!!!

1 of the Greatest Final rounds ever!!! Larry Holmes is a top 10, likely 5 All Time Heavyweight who doesn't get much mention. Ken Norton was 1 of the bunch of 70s Heavyweights who made that era the greatest in history (he also broke Alis Jaw!).
These 2 went to war in an all time classic. Topped off by 1 of the best 15th rounds ever.

Enjoy!!

@el222 HW. I don't really like all-divisions intergenerational GOAT tiers. They're based on falsities. P4P becomes meaningless when you start comparing HW's to lightweights, as though if you shrunk a HW down to lightweight that fighter would carry the same power, for  example. It's all pretty ******** and doesn't make sense. Gets harder to do the lighter you go down, too.

HW doesn't really change a whole bunch. Like I'm pretty sure Prime Ali and Holmes would have beaten the ever living **** out of the current crop of top-tier heavies despite how much bigger they are, Fury included, but I don't know if Sugar Ray Robinson would have beaten Prime RJJR. I doubt it. But that also begs the question of how good would ray have been he had been born in the same era as Roy, when the sport had evolved a lot more. I know I ride Roy's pole a lot in these replies, I freely admit to being biased.

I dunno. The greats belong to their own lives and times, and where the sport was at when that was happening for the most part.
