I said this in the forum week or 2 ago, before Joel Alvarez pulled out I wouldve put  my house on alvarez, giagos struggled against Carlton minus, that says enough, personally I think he isn't ufc level at all and soriano really could win this

He struggled because the fight was on short notice and he's a power grappler..so he muscles all his techniques and he gassed out pretty fast.

I think he'll be ok on a full camp facing a much easier opponent.

Damn Ngannou i typically agree with everything you say but IMO Soriano would wipe the floor with Minus bro. Don't trust them Alaska FC records haha I don't think this is a much easier opponent. If anything much harder opponent but i do agree with the rest of it. Short notice for a power wrestler gonna spell cardio disaster at some point in the fight. I do think the full camp he will look much better. Still think he loses here.

By much easier opponent I meant he's facing Soriano instead of Alvarez.

And I agree all the way Alaska FC is a suspect promotion.

Ohhh **** i read that all wrong haha i thought you meant much easier than Minus. Now I sort of agree. Alvarez didn't present any danger on the feet IMO. He was going to be throwing up subs off his back if Giagos took him down which we all assumed would happen i think. its his style. i think power wrestlers notoriously show good control on submission artists. I think Soriano is going to light him up on the feet and Giagos gonna have to win this by holding him down and beating him there. if this stays on the feet i think Soriano cruises. With all that being said im dead ass wrong 40% of the time according to tapology lol

as someone who lives in alaska i can say that alaska fc is really, really really, local. They grab anyone who wants to fight, but there can be some actual talent from time to time. Might fight there myself this year or the next.

Couldn't agree with you more about the crowd fueling some of these fights. Being from Texas myself, I can guarantee Houston will not only be louder than Jacksonville was but they will do more in alcohol sales too.

Personally secured couple cases of beer and 2 5ths of vodka for Sat night.

Nah you're good you didn't really read it wrong I just didn't specify.

I think preparing for a standup striker is much easier than preparing for a guy relentless with submissions.

Last year when Alvarez submitted Duffy and he was like 6,900 on Draftkings add in Deveison Fig and Roman Dolidze....that was my first big win. I'll always back the guy....unfortunate he couldn't get the visa to come to the states to fight.

Best of luck man dont get me wrong talent can come from there. Mr. Vanzant is all the proof you need of that. But you also get the Carlton Minus' as well. 9-0. his first 5-6 opponents had a combined record of 0-1. Alaska FC records can be deceiving haha

Ahh the old DK takedown underdog backer haha damn that hits the soul bro i do the same ****. Unfortunately my Big MMA win came from Humberto Bandenay over Martin Bravo lol Bandenay was i think 6.8 or so maybe 7k flat. everyone and their mother was on Bravo and Humberto smoked him with that body kick and then knee to the ducking head in 40 seconds. I then backed Bandenay in his next 3 fights to my demise lmao i thought surely he would beat Austin Arnett. Dead wrong. Mogly Mugged him for his lunch money.

@HiDefff what your talking about is almost exactly the same situation with the Pickett/Wright fight. Look at the first 8 fights of Wrights pro career: EVERYONE either has a losing record or was making their pro debut. ONE DUDE WAS 0-21.

8 can crushing wins and he is 11-1 O_O?!

Pickett is going to starch this kid.

Everyone here already knows Jordan Wright is the Ultimate can crusher tho. Haha its well documented in these threads. The Beverly Hills Can Crusher.  62% of tap is picking him here and that's sickening lol

Yep the underdog hits are the best feeling.

It's also great when you have TJ Brown winning a fight he clearly lost+Luana Pinherio faking an injury to get another big hit.

Sometimes you get lucky sometimes you get starched its fun trying to solve the Draftkings puzzle every week. I've got 1st place 3 times the past year but I only play the 3$ 20 max entry and I always end up splitting with 10-30 other people.
