Jones looses all his fights at heavy weight. Hes past his prime, not gonna muscle and out grapple the hws.
Not juicing and wrapping Bentleys around light poles with escorts and cocaine. The animal that was Jones is gone. And his Peak is also gone. A few years ago he would be double champ. I would have loved it back then

@Jake Well, I think it's complicated. We don't really know how ****** 20% is (even though it probably is) because UFC isn't Public. We kind of don't even know what we don't know. This  means we don't know what the margins are, what earnings are, what cash-on-hand is etc and it also means UFC IS free to Dodgy up PPV numbers because they aren't beholden to shareholders; it was a privately tendered float. If it wasn't, that would be illegal. I very much doubt UFC pulls the numbers it advertises. I really doubt Usman vs Masvidal pulled the same as or close as Wilder vs Fury 1 & 2 as is purported.

I find it improbable that a company that failed to even meet let alone improve upon the standard of its previous partnership with Reebok is doing as spectacularly as advertised.  Reebok (well, Adidas) obviously thought their contract was overvalued and they would know more about the bottom line than us *******s. That's a pretty big Red Flag.

I've always found it weird that Silverlake Partners has a decent stake in UFC. Such a thing typically isn't their bag at all and it's definitely out of place in their portfolio. I know a bit about them because they have positions in some of the stocks I'm holding. They're not a serious deal and are a very small fish in a big pond, but they definitely don't **** around. Violence-for-profit is a very strange thing for them to get into bed with.

Hughes vs. Lookboonmee
Loma Lookboonmee, DEC
Watching tape on this fight I'm convinced that Sam Hughes is gonna pull a Weidman/Silva because she slams telegraphed leg kicks that get checked VERY often by VERY low level fighters. And Loma checks kicks like a boss. That said we all know Sam isn't gonna be striking she's a wrestler at heart and quite a bit bigger than Loma. These odds are plain dumb, but Loma should be the favorite.

@Jake I'm sure they know that once they do start paying more fighters 8 figures it's going to open the floodgates. In 1980 the highest paid player in baseball made $2.3 mil/year, by 2001 A-Rod signed for $25mil/year over 10 years. There are 51 NBA players making over $20 million this year alone. Once they start paying more they can never go back, and they definitely won't give in for a guy like Jones at this point in his career. It is pretty sad that even top 15 P4P fighters can't make a fraction of that $20 mil/year range even if they fought 3 times a year.

@Fish Does the Endeavor IPO change anything for the UFC in regards to reporting PPV numbers or fighter salaries?

@Zoomer off the top of my head, I'd say probably not. A big part of the reason parent companies keep subsidiary holdings is to keep particular aspects of operations private and to avoid disclosing certain things as per normative sec filing procedures. Most of the time this is done to protect IP but they have, as I understand things, the right to do this for any reason.  I'm pretty sure UFC will be kept as a private subsidiary.

Basically, they would probably do something like a consolidation. So essentially, Endeavor would take whatever UFC's earning were, disseminate that throughout their entire balance sheet and then file that balance for auditing/Tax/10-K etc purposes.  At that point it would be impossible to make any determinations on how the UFC, as an individual entity, was performing.

But I'm not SEC Lawyer, and you'd need one to really break it down to the nuts and bolts.

I love Strickland in this spot! Think he ends the fight ITD.  Merab vs. Stamann should be a great scrap.  I am going with Merab strictly due to his gas tank and motor.  Think he will control Stamann for most of the fight, but we will see.  Wouldn't be surprised to see Stamann have success and take a couple rounds.  The over is the way to go for sure (based on price).

I don't see Jiri in a shadow boxing match.  This guy has a killer instinct.  This fight should be fun to watch! Interested to see how Jiri looks against a top fighter in the division.

Jiri can definitely take this fight but I'm not going to count Reyes out just yet, Jan did have to work for that finish on Reyes, he didn't just walk through him

Damn Benitez missed by a mile, 5 pounds off the limit. Might pull that bet depending on how JSP looks.

I don't know if it's just me, and thinking about his transition from football, but I see Reyes as an "athlete" fighter, I know that sounds weird, but Jiri been doing this a long time and is a killer. Not sure.
