Interesting. I know enough about it to know it’s been a looming issue since the dawn of the sport. Travis Fulton (god rest his ****** up soul) pretty much made an entire business out of fighting Divers. He has around forty wins against the same five people, over and over and over and over again to pad out his ********-ly large record. I honestly don’t know how to feel about it, cause on one hand it does provide an opportunity for guys who can’t get fights booked, as well as supporting(?) the Diver’s line of work. At the same time though, it’ll always carry this ‘fraud’ stigma around it for as long as you continue to fight Divers. It’s weird. This sport is weird. 

I was on Reddit, never been on it and decided to give it a shot. Someone in the LGBT community posted something that got recommended in my feed (for some reason) that “If you hate trans people you should not be allowed in this community” followed by a series of manic, non-intelligible ravings. I suggested “Well, shouldn’t we learn to maybetalkto some of these people instead of banning them outright? Learning to understand individuals like this could help your community look more positively rather than just blacklisting them”

I was later banned for Hate Speech.

Even my dumb ass knows better than to get into quarrels or have a genuine civil discussion with 90% of MMA fans. That’s why I stay here in Tapology and evade places like Sherdog like the plague. Really makes me wanna quit being a fan of the sport altogether sometimes, but I recognize we get people like this is because the UFC panders to people like this. The UFC thrives off of the free publicity that is social media because, let’s be real here, this sport is niche. Not a lot of people understand it or are too horrified/bored/both to even consider wanting to understand it. It’s also a sport that’s pretty much never been respected. It took years for ESPN and Boxing to even consider MMA an actual sport and stop ******* harassing us with ******** presumptions that are easily disputed in thirty seconds, and even then they can’t even ******* bother to let DC or Dana White into a building during the ESPY’S awards.

As a result, the UFC advertises itself largely through social media, and we get the lowest common denominators calling themselves “fans” cause they watch free fights on their YouTube channel or watch a few highlight videos of the most surface level champions imaginable. Guys who think they know everything when they really know ****-all are the worst kind of fans.

Thoughts on the recent Fight Night fellas? I thought it was surprisingly great. Lots of stuff to talk about, lots of good fights. I think after the long drought of utter ******* boredom from the past several months of UFC cards is starting to look a little brighter, albeit it’s problems are still present. But at least it’s becoming entertaining again.

I think the most interesting part of the card was that almost every finish was a submission. Even knockout artists like Bruno Silva and Davey Grant ended up getting subs. Crazy ****. 

Was going to make an honest to god breakdown on how Jared Gooden could be a legitimate prospect if he just used his jab more but I decided not to post it out of foresight Lmaonnaise would roast the **** out of me

There are actual, ‘mentally functional’ human beings, complaining about eye gouging in these videos. 

Watching a person complain about dirty fighting in a no-holds-barred underground fight ring is like complaining about the guy who brought an LMG to a shootout.

It’s not for everyone but I enjoy it. It’s good to have promotions like this to show just how different ‘fighting’ is from ‘violence’.
