@ damien, andrade fought her first 7 fights in the ufc at batamweight and went 4-3, she went straight down to 115 and started wrecking girls that couldnt deal with her power. shes gone 7-3 at 115 only losing to the very top fighters. so moving up to flyweight now will be nothing strange to her.

Ortega vs. Jung
Brian Ortega, DEC
I have a feeling that Ortega will cause an upset

Andrade vs. Chookagian
Jéssica Andrade, DEC
Chook should not be near Andrade, she is champ caliber.

Abdurakhimov vs. Gane
Ciryl Gane
Very nice test for Gane, who is riding on some nice hype right now. Very nice striker and ground game, but he is pretty wild. You can't always get away with that at heavier divisions. It seems Shamil isnt the best, so once again this is a very nice test to see if Gane is legit. IF he wins i hope he gets a top 10 fight next

Bukauskas vs. Crute
Jimmy Crute, SUB, R2
Crute has some mad potential, if he wins this they can threw him against a top fighter (again)... Krylov would be fun.

Abdurakhimov vs. Gane
Ciryl Gane, DEC
Gané looks great thus far, very well rounded, elite stricking, agile like a welterweight, competent on the ground, submission skills, excellent cardio... but Shamil is a coherant step up in competition, he will definitely test his TDD, and maybe his chin. If he wins this, it's time for a real step up. Volkov would be a fascinating kickbowing duel, and Harris could test his chin...

Mustafaev vs. Gamrot
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
So happy to see Gamrot in the UFC ! Exciting signings recently. Now I really hope they sign other KSW champion, French featherweight Salahdine Parnasse (undefeated 14-0 record, and 22 years old).

Zawada vs. Lazzez
Mounir Lazzez, DEC
Lazzez was a nice surprice in Fight Island. Great fight of the night vs Alhassan. Can't wait to see him back.

A few fights thin

Predictions: 5 of 11 Winners, 2 Perfect, 325 Points   |   Tied for 2141st

Not enough fights on this card for the COVID-era. A great fight to add would be to take the two upset machines who both had sub-minute fights recently AND have already fought each-other on the regional scene. Kevin Croom rematches Darrick Minner to see who the real guillotine-upset king is. I'll take Minner all day.

Then the winner fights the winner of Zalal vs. Seung Woo Choi

i like that minner/croom fight. im kinda thinking minner also.

a little research shows that they have already fought in 2018 with croom winning by 2nd round gnp stoppage.

Oezdemir vs. Krylov
Volkan Oezdemir, DEC
I'm still a Volkan fan. Always fun to watch, and still improving. Even in his losses, he hurt Jiri Prochazka multiple times before Jiri caught him in the second round, he arguably should have won the close fight against Reyes, and he was dominating Anthony Smith both standing and on the ground before he gassed himself out late in the fight. He is a way better striker than Krylov, and his TDD and cardio are still improving, so I think it's a very winnable fight for him. Because of his controversial loss to Reyes, he could get back in title contention if he wins 2 or 3 more fights. I didn't think he had a chance to be a champ against Cormier or Jones, but agaiinst Reyes or Blachowicz (or Thiago Santos and Teixeira), it is a very realistic possibility.

Ziam vs. Mullarkey
Fares Ziam, TKO, R3
Ziam is a talented striker, he just had a bad matchup for his UFC debut. Mullarkey is fun to watch, but his striking défense isn't great, I think Ziam will capitalize and finish him late after a back and forth fight.

Yeah I was at that one actually, good card. It went how a lot of Minner's fights go. He whooped Croom for the first round and then ended up in a bad spot in the second. It was a bit controversial because Minner gave the ref the thumbs up from turtle and then the ref stopped the fight right after. I think a rematch in the big show would be fun to watch.

Claudio Silva, TKO, R2
You would be an idiot not to pick Silva. Silva is a high level welterweight that fights infrequently .... he has come off big layoffs before (3 years) and won. Krause is a journeyman at best, who has more clout than other journeyman because of his penchant for taking short term fights. But Silva has high level jitz and Krause is decent grappler. Silva can out grapple Krause and, I believe, beat him in striking too. Krause is a fan favorite but he isn't elite enough to beat Silva, who is a top level guy.

Think Brian Ortega is being disrescted by the fan and especially the betting people , being about +175 is a gift if you want to take a chance on a close fight, Rembeber Brian Ortega is about 28 so a two year break he will be improving his skills and he striking espaclly,

@Rkn5 James Krause is more of journeyman than Claudio Silva? I’d love to hear an explanation for why you think that. Krause is really ******* good, I know he’s a bit old school and his record is a bit tarnished by taking short notice and ill advised fights, but he’s a great welterweight. Granted he’s a little lower level in the BJJ than Silva, but he’s a technical masterclass in striking and wrestling transitions. His switch stance outside trip is slicker than a baby pig covered in cod oil.

Maybe I’m blinded by my love for midwestern fighters.
