How can you say a certain fighter should have won the fight then say you wasn’t watching but you was listening? Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard

my take on last nights card
**** usman, the most boring champion since gsp, more boring than woodley, if thats even possible.
i thought max won the fight, but wont complain too loudly though, close fight.
i hope jose retires now, my number one all time favorite fighter and i just dont want to watch him take any more beatings.
andrade improved her striking immensely over the first fight, her head movement was on point. she would have ko'd rose if it was 5 rounds. zhang will straight up murder rose, not sure i even want to watch that fight.
i truly thought paige would do better.
jiri earned his spot in the ufc but he needs to learn to keep his hands up or he will ktfo at some point.
santos straight up quit at the end of the second and if bogatov hadnt fouled out he would have ko'd him in the third.

I prefer calling it effective.

I'm glad we have Big John to back up those of us who are saying Max definitely won this. I thought Volk would edge it but in no way did he win that fight, he got dropped in 2 rounds and Max could have even been given a 10-8 in those first 2 seeing as how judges are supposed to be giving more 10-8 scorecards. 

I completely disagree with Max that he did anywhere near enough in the first fight, but this time the decision was ridiculous, and John has a great point about the judges, we need live scoring or at least some extreme changes to improve the judging system in MMA, especially when HANDPICKED judges are making these BLATANT mistakes.

Volk got lit up but at least one "knock down" was a shove after a decent shot those only count in backyard grab ass.
The headkick was nice alex was stunned went to a knee I believe think max lost killer instinct.
Max face looked like he lost bad and the experts scored zero knock downs..well one looked legit to me.
Alex more strikes and take downs + damage alex wins if your biased get an outside fact based perspective.
Hate to see it but max needs to squash the lanky rusky before he gets another title shot.
Point is Alex is the baddest 5 '6 ***********er around maybe featherweight period.
Side note Yan is awesome cant deny anymore, also Aldo should retire.

The uppercut at the end of the second was a DEFINITE flash knockdown that stunned Volk bad, can't remember the other one as well, would need to watch again. Anyway, even if you don't score either of the first two rounds a 10-8 (although 10-8s are supposed to be encouraged now), as John says, there's no way Volk won 3 rounds so that's kind of a moot point, I mean there's even a case to be argued that he only got 1 round. And when the guy who literally wrote the rules of modern MMA is saying definitively that he believes a fighter won you can hardly just dismiss that, and if you do you're a fool. 

Volk is strong, has a great record and is super durable, but he's short and didn't handle Max well in that fight at all, whichever way you see it. Zabit will cause him some serious problems, especially with his unorthodox style, not sure Alex will be able to deal with that, I thought he would be holding the belt for a while but after that performance I'm really not so sure any more. 

Would love to see Zombie get another chance at the belt and take him out with a twister or another KO from nowhere, he's really come on leaps and bounds recently, but I suppose Ortega will be fishing for another shot even though he got absolutely dominated by Max, honestly I would like to see a rematch between those 2 to give Max some confidence back.

Heard this event had 1.3 million PPV buys making it the highest bough MMA event since Khabib vs Conor and in the top 5 of all time. Masivdal vs Mcgregor probley next if they want to print Money

@ ImperatorFishrat  I know it isn't boxing and I'm in no way saying it should be an automatic 10-8 in any case, you're just twisting my words. 

Anyhow, both those first 2 rounds were clearly dominated by Max, and he managed to get a knockdown in each with a clearly stunned and wobbled Volk at the end of the second, all I'm saying is that since we've specifically been told recently that judges are being encouraged to be more generous and offer more 10-8 scores where applicable that this could have been one of those times, and I don't think seeing a 10-8 in there would be any more debatable or questionable than the judges scoring 3 rounds for Volk. 

Again I'm not saying every judge's scorecard should have had the first two rounds as 10-8s, in fact I'm not even saying there should definitely be a 10-8 awarded at all, but it's certainly a situation where a 10-8 could have been fairly awarded for good reason.

Was a close fight.  As I was backing Max I was very happy with the start of the fight, obviously Max won both rounds dominantly.  Give Volko big credit. he done what Champions do, he adapted and fought back begun to turn the fight around. Still, rounds 3,4 and 5 were all super close.  I do not score takedowns when the man defending gets instantly back to the feet, just like I don't score clinching, holding aganist fence without damage.  The bbig issue is that Max won his rounds real clear and Volks rounds were all 50/50.  This is a big probnlem with the 10 point must system, a system designed and used for boxing, A COMPLETLEY DIFFERENT ****** SPORT!!!!
When you can win a round with knockdowns and domination yet be rewarded exactly ther same as a 50/50 round, that is a problem.
I think the solution is scoring the entirety of the fight, PRIDE RULES baby!!!

Never wanna see tybura fight again thats the snoozeman..but then again when hes ko'ed its always brutal lol
