After both fighters got laid out in one round, who do you think would take this fight?

Fedor has good sambo which might negate some of cains wrestling, but cain has more technical striking than fedor.  But then again fedors favorite punch is his overhand f-bomb which we all saw what happens when landed on cains head.  could go either way, well see what fedor has left after monster monson.

LOL. This arguments turned into MMAmessiah telling p4pgoat that Mitrione is more relevant to MMA than he is. p4pgoat is some guy on the internet.. of course Matt is more relevant :\ Regardless of p4pgoats importance to MMA.. Modern day Cain would beat Fedor. He wouldnt destroy him, probably tko in the 2nd. Pride Fedor and modern day Cain would have been 50/50 IMO.

I dont think Mitrione is terrible. But to say he is a better fighter than Bigfoot Silva is ridiculous.

Bigfoot's a giant with pretty good skills.  If he went to the UFC I could see him taking out the other giants Kongo and Lesnar, but not Overeem.

None of these fighters are jokes... that's just a recipe for thumbs-downs :)

As for Cain vs Fedor it's important to know if we're talking about 2005 Fedor or 2011 Fedor.  And it's important to know if we're talking about 2010 Cain or 2011 Cain.  Coming off a terrible injury, isn't it obvious that Cain was not at his best on Saturday? He looked pretty awful compared to his potential.

It was only 64 seconds though, how can you judge if he looked good or not?  Also what does a shoulder injury have to do with someones chin?  Even at his fullest potential, Cain has shown that he cant take shots to the temple

He looked tentative, out of shape, and slow.

Also what does a shot to the temple have to do with someone's chin? Even at its fullest potential, the chin has shown that it can't protect the temple.

It's clear at this point in MMA that there is a spot on the side of the head that you can't get hit otherwise you're toast. Cain got hit there.

When I say chin, I don't literally mean the chin.  I mean their ability to take a punch.  So getting hit in the temple has alot to do with chin.

I understand... I was nit-picking on that.  It's a pet peeve of mine, I wish we all didn't call it "chin" when we don't mean chin.

Ok pal way to make it personal. I won't go there but I will say anyone who talks about another mans family the way Mitrione did isn't anybody to me. Watching Kongo beat him and bust him open was awesome. Mitrione talks smack about everyone but yet he would get his ass kicked by anyone he talks about. Him and Mcorkle are real cool. I wish I was like them......

I don't see what the big issue with Mitrione's personality is??  He just seems like a big goofy guy.

I think TUF gave meathead a bad rap, making him look like more of a headcase than he really is.  A few years removed fron TUF and after watching a few interviews if his, I think he's actually a pretty decent guy.

In his prime I would say Cain/Fedor would be about 50/50 but now Cain would beat Fedor fairly easily. The Fedor of now has no gameplan but to wing hooks which likely wouldnt work on Cain

If the fight happened 7 years ago in PRIDE, then I think that the 10 minute first round would be too much for Cain, and the time difference in Japan would mess with Cain as well. Cain would probably dominate the first round, but in the 2nd Fedor would find some transition or see an opening, and beat Cain by either armbar or kimura.

If the fight were to happen today in the UFC, then Cain would KO Fedor in the first round, probably quicker then Hendo did.
