I was very confident he would win and in the second round. Major props to JDS for a great strike to the head of Velasquez and to end the fight in less than 70 seconds.

I thought Junior would win just because of Cain's layoff and the fact that Kongo dropped Cain twice.  I think he should be able to beat whoever wins the Lesnar/Overeem fight.

I was really hoping this possible rivalry wouldn't end up like Bones/Bader with one fighter just demolishing the other, but looks like it may have.  At least Cain simply got caught rather than being completely dominated.  A rematch would still be very interesting, unlike Bones/Bader.

I thought he would win but I thought it wouldn't come as easily as it did. He landed a great punch early.

I'm so happy to see him get the title. I remember back before he fought Werdum, and everyone was pissed that Werdum was getting fed a no namer on the main card. JDS blasted Werdum and immediately made a big fan out of me. And now he's a champion. I'm very happy for him, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

I'll wait to see him fight Overeem first, but if that fight plays out like I envision, I might pick him to beat JDS.

@mino. i agree. I find JDS to be one of the nicest people. i'm glad he was a coach on TUF and showed how supportive he was for his fighters. I know i'm happy he is champion.

Dos Santos is a Beast in the Octagon, but seems very nice and humble in the real world.  A common quality of great champions.  I had Dos Santos to win also and by First round TKO/KO.  I was suprised that he was the underdog in the velasquez fight.  But then again I was glad. $$$
