ImperatorFishrat  No Wiedman not, it obvious he not. He got wrecked as soon as Luke got on top of him. he also could do zero to Luke when on the ground. Wiedman is not remotely on Luke level in gorund fighting and only chance is to win via striking.   Yes BBJ\Transition is what happens on the ground. Is Wiedman as good or better wrestler? Yes, but is irreverent since on the ground Wiedman can not hang with Luke.   Now as for Branch gassing, i agree that could certainly happen. However if that does not happen, i think branch likely is winning that fight. Though I will agree the cardio is certainly an issue. However as for skill vs skill, i think that is a fight Branch is more then capable of winning.  Branch is also able to take quite the beat himself and has an iron chin. This is not a fight Wiedman is running away with.

@Franklin Rockhold wrecks everyone he gets on top of, his hip passes are perfect and his top control and damage from the top is nasty as ****. He didn't 'outgrapple' or outwrestle weidman, he exploited a bad axe kick, took him down and beat the **** out of him. Offensive grappling and off-the-back defense aren't the same thing. Give weidman that same position on top of rockhold and he probably does the same thing that was done to him, and if he didn't, I guarantee he wouldn't get reversed at least.

Branch has fast hands, but he's never going to beat a grinder outside of landing a blitzkrieg in the first two rounds.

Diaz is a sellout

Predictions: 6 of 11 Winners, 0 Perfect, 300 Points   |   Tied for 1468th

Diaz is not being cool to the fans. He's only in it for the money. I think his star is dimming. MSG was a perfect place to make a comeback. ANY fighter on the LW roster would have jumped at that fight on short notice. Sucks cause 230 started as an amazing card and now it's just pretty good.

This is the one my flip-floppin ass can't decide on.. I can see how both of them dispatch of each other, and this is the fight we see if this kid, the last style bender is forreal or not.. it's a tough pick for me. It either ends early for Brunson, crashing forward for a KO, or Adesanya ends it later on.. it can go either way here, in my opinion.

This card fell apart and was put togther so many times. Is the shine off of the msg cards now? Last year and the year before were unreal cards. This card on paper is ok. And i know to never judge a card before its happened, but what made both of those cards was prefight hype and then the cards being some of the best of the year. Today is the 1st time i realized msg was tomorrow.

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 465 Points   |   Tied for 264th

Cormier vs. Lewis
Daniel Cormier, SUB, R2
unless he cracks him early and just ends it there, i think dc takes r1 off and lets lewis swing his arms around for a bit before finishing the job in r2 or 3.

Weidman vs. Souza
Chris Weidman, DEC
i'm picking chris based on cardio and pace control, but i'm kinda surprised that jacare is the underdog considering that chris has been finished a few times, including the rockhold fight where he was butchered on the ground.

Branch vs. Cannonier
Dave Branch, DEC
david branch will never get the respect he deserves and i feel bad that he keeps getting big fights pulled from him. props to cannonier for stepping up, but i think there's a real possibility he gets finished again here if he can't keep it standing.

Roberson vs. Marshman
Karl Roberson, TKO, R1
tko losses have me thinkin that if marshman can't get this down then he probably gets pieced up by a very sharp striker.

Brunson vs. Adesanya
Israel Adesanya, DEC
adesanya needs more polish if he's gonna be the new messiah, but brunson's gameplanning always confuses me so i'll pick with my head and hope to be wrong.

Knight vs. Rinaldi
Jason Knight, TKO, R2
both guys hunt for the sub, but have pretty solid sub defense. both guys are also essentially .500 in decisions so it's tough to pick. i guess i'll take the more dynamic fighter in knight despite the likelihood that he pulls guard at some point.

Eubanks vs. Modafferi
Sijara Eubanks, DEC
unless roxy can really turn it on early in r1 and avoid getting hit too much, i don't think she's gonna break the game of sarj despite the weight flub.

Arce vs. Moraes
Sheymon Moraes, DEC
i'm probably out of the loop, but part of me feels like people think arce beat the other teymur. 2 losses to kelleher have me skeptical, while moraes has only lost to legitimate prospects/contenders.

Good vs. Saunders
Lyman Good, TKO, R2
i don't think ben is chinny per se, but he's getting later into his fight career and lyman is a pretty decent boxer. i think ben tries to strike at first, but then transitions to the clinch before falling back to his guard game and ultimately losing because of it.

Frevola vs. Vannata
Lando Vannata, TKO, R2
i feel like lando either sets the tone early or he spends time evading and countering, either way i'm not 100% sure frevola is gonna track him down and keep him grounded.

Burgos vs. Holobaugh
Shane Burgos, DEC
holobaugh is a fun action fighter for the most part, but i think that style falls right into the hands of the technical burgos.

Kelleher vs. Jackson
Brian Kelleher, DEC
weird booking that at first i thought was a bounceback for brian, but after the weight miss i'm unsure. it's not like he looked bad against lineker so i'll guess he can push through the poor cut and control the pace.

Wieczorek vs. Rogério de Lima
Adam Wieczorek, DEC
my heart tells me that pezao is capable of early flash ko's, but my brain sees a grappling weakness and a seemingly much larger opponent with a grappling base, so i'll just hope to be wrong.

Wieczorek vs. Rogério de Lima
Adam Wieczorek, SUB, R2

Cormier vs. Lewis
Daniel Cormier, SUB, R2
I've had D.C. locked in for weeks.. but seeing him weigh in at 251lbs makes this a scarier fight for me. DC was already not the most nimble of guys, throw on all that extra weight, Maaaan Idk.. It's clearly gonna end by finish, but for whom???

Branch vs. Cannonier
Dave Branch, DEC
I think it's crazy Cannonier started his UFC career @ Heavyweight. Now he's making his Middleweight Debut annnnd he looked like he was in phenomenal shape, maybe the best I've ever seen.. this fight could be a fun fight. Definitely flying under the radar with all the other amazing fights

Knight vs. Rinaldi
Jason Knight, DEC
I wanna see what, if any improvements Hick Diaz (J. Knight) has made since he's changed up his camp and went out to Team Alpha Male.. Jason Knight I think is another fighter better than his UFC record suggests (4–5..... I think)

Eubanks vs. Modafferi
Sijara Eubanks, DEC
Don't you wish you could jus shake someone awake? This is now the 3rd fight Sijara Eubanks has been scheduled for and missed weight...... JUST IN THE UFC ALONE. Like c'mon man, gotta be more professional about it. If you know that, you, yourself has trouble making the 126lb limit... Then it's time you move up to Bantamweight. But if you're reallyyyy serious about Flyweight, then you just gotta strap in, and do it.. But you gotta do something, coz at the rate she's going, she won't be employed by the UFC no more

Good vs. Saunders
Lyman Good, TKO, R2
Lyman Good has been one of my favorite fighters for a looong time, even going back to his time in Bellator. he's a stud. I just wish he was a little more active

Frevola vs. Vannata
Lando Vannata, DEC
I just love saying Matt "The Steamrolla" Frevola... But that's about it. And Lando is a much better fighter than his UFC record suggests (1–3–1)
