I honestly don’t know what’s next for assuncao. 11 wins from 12. Would assume Moraes is getting the next shot at the title and that fight could have went either way. This dillashaw garbrandt rematch is really uncalled for in a stacked division there’s plenty waiting to earn their turn but apparently sitting on the bench is the best way to get a title shot in the ufc

Assunção is the man. He’s so overlooked. The longevity and durability he’s shown in his career to be a top talent is unreal.

I met him in the hotel lobby after he got KOd by Koch. He hung out for a long while and was completely humble but still confident. Extremely nice cool guy to hang with us drunk fans after getting KOdHe said he’d be back and better.

Look how far his striking has come since. I hope he gets a shot. He makes a great case.

The problem with tj vs garbrant 2 is that if garbrandt wins they immediately have to have a rubber match leaving other top fighters sitting around and if Cody loses he’s on a 2 fight skid with only 1 win over fighters in the top 10 but he will be ranked above people like assucao who has beaten half of the fighters ranked

Can the UFC stop with the ex champs getting immediate rematch ********? Assuncao should have his shot at the belt already, but the UFC is going to keep feeding him top 15 guys like they did Maia because they think he is boring and will wait him out until he gets beat.
