@wake. I agree with Rumble vs. Ellenberger considering Rumble sustained almost no damage in the Brenneman fight. Rumble/Ellenberger would be a better fight that Sanchez/Ellenberger. I just don't think Sanchez is as dangerous at WW.

Kampmann taught us the Diego can take a hell of punch. Diego would still have much better luck on the ground.

Yeah, but kampmann doesn't even come close to the power of Ellenbergers, Once Ellenberger catches him, he won't be able to recover and he will follow up with 20 punches to the face before the ref can even jump in.

I dont even know if this fight is happening anymore ever since the card with all the rumoured bouts from 141 was shown and then deleted again this was deleted too from wiki. See that might be a sign that all those other fights are happening?

I've met a ton of Strikeforce fighters. No UFC fighters of note...just Dan Hardy and Andre Winner.

Diego took a beating from Kampmann, got dropped multiple times (by a guy who is constantly criticized for his lack of power), and ultimately won a terrible decision. Shields survived the onslaught of Henderson, but Ellenberger wrecked him in one round. I stand by my statement, he will finish Diego Sanchez.

gotta agree with mino, i dont think sanchez deserves this high profile a fight.... i may be completely off base, but i dont think sanchez is that incredible anymore....he's bounced around weight classes, looking for the easiest path to a belt, and got smashed by bj penn...thats nothing to be ashamed of, but i too believe he lost to kampmann....i think smashing jake shields is grounds to get at least a number one contenders fight, because shields is very good...maybe even take on nick diaz, if bj penn gets hurt before fight time....the list of fighters that i think ellenberger should fight next on his road to title would be diaz, penn, fitch, rory, kos, condit....anyone else is a low reward fight imo...but i understand why they would want this fight, as tuf fighters have a bankable name over others and ellenberger would either help get sanchez bck near the top or ellenberger could add a more popular/better known fighter to his list of victims

@minotauro .. What fight were you watching? Diego only got dropped once in the first round for like a second. Thats the round he lost. Sanchez has won 2 in a row against top competition. I too think Ellenberger will win but Diego wont be finished.
