I'm a huge Rose fan so I love seeing her win Fighter of the Year but I'd have given it to Holloway.

KOTY & FOTY I absolutely agree with but SOTY has to be Oliynyk's Ezekiel choke.

STRONG gender bias from Melanie Gale.
Across the board with her.

For me:

Fighter OTY: Max Holloway

FOTY: Gaethje vs Johnson

KO OTY: Ngannou's decapatation easy (That **** is a logo now)

Sub OTY: Love the style of DJ's suplex to armbar, but the rarity of an Ezekiel while mounted is amazing from Oliynyk.

Comeback in a Fight I am in in full agreement in, Darren Elkins def. Mirsad Bektic

Comeback Fighter: GSP for the great one night stand.

Upset: Feariosa beating Joanna easy. :)

Breakout: Volkan Oezdemir easy. His rise is iconic. If he wins the title, NEXT LEVEL.

Best card: 217

So I take it that Melanie Gale is a feminist?

Aside from that, I agree with several things, and disagree with a few as well. For me, it would’ve been:
Fighter OTY: Max Holloway
FOTY: Vannata/Teymur, but only because I prefer the fun technical striking match over the blood and guts war. Medeiros/Cowboy was still sick as ****, though!
KOTY: in my opinion, it’s Moraes/Sterling, but there were tons of scary knockouts in 2017!
SOTY: DJ’s flying suplex armbar
Comeback: Darren Elkins 100%
Comeback Fighter: GSP
Upset: Joanna losing to Rose, I didn’t see that coming at all!
Breakout Fighter: How can you not pick Oezdemir?

I lol'd at Melanie's picks.

Not a single male in sight.

That Mike Skytte guy is brilliant.

Melanie Gale is sexist, prob.

I myself struggled with who to pick for Fighter of the Year. Probably the toughest decision I made. I went with Rose because of two quality wins, becoming a UFC champ, the magnitude of the upset, and her awesome message she delivered post-fight. (I'm Michael DeSantis on there btw).

It was a tough decision for a lot of people. Rose, DJ, Holloway, Whittaker, Cyborg, and ***** were all in the running. I honestly think anyone could win on any given site and I'd be okay with the selection.

The only selection I really disagree with is Fighter of the Year. I agree with several posters in this thread - Max Holloway should've been the pick.
